SNL doesn't actually have any MODERN comedic elements, it's just back-to-back doomsday warnings made by jesters (with the jesters being wealthier and less uncivilized than most of the viewers). It damages psychosocial well-being.

MadTV is something we need today; a comedy show that pushes boundaries, and helps us laugh together about things that we think are ridiculous but maybe afraid to say how ludicrous they are in daily life. The slapstick nature of the show for me was a spiritual successors to "In Living Color" in that they pushed the limits and were always on the edge of comedy.

I think it's laughable for Orlando to say he didn't like the babewatch skit at the time to seem pious in retrospect, also the whole thing is tone deaf, if you hear Artie tell the babewatch story it's hysterical!
