I love how these old cartoons took every day items & used them as props. I especially loved the cart made of a hat & some donuts. You don't see that kind of imagination in today's cartoons.

Tytla's crooning roach was 30 some seconds of pure animation delight: LOooooVve. That baby was incredibly grotesque and the spider, who sure got his, was very nicely villainous. I wonder what his intentions were toward the lovely (yuck!) cockroach miss. The more I think about it the more inclined I am to think Freud got it wrong, that the root of human psychology is not erotic, but based on devouring. Although clearly in this toon, the two go hand in hand. Sometimes it makes me feel creeped out like when the Terrytoon wolf is seen with cute little critters but his den is full of their bones. Cartoons are the quintessential 'vore' media (although vampire, zombie, alien films and tv are catching up) to portray the deadly sin of gluttony. Not saying though that I have too much sympathy for cockroaches. What a weird idea to team up two of the worst pests, cockroaches and horse flys. Well done though.

I hate cockroach because this insect carries a virus
@rev31383 жыл бұрын
All animals carry multiple viruses. A roach carries very few that would transfer to you--and probably wouldn't spread them, because roaches clean themselves rigorously. Dogs, on the other hand, carry *lots* of viruses you can catch, being very closely related--and they don't clean themselves much at all.
