A brilliant piece of video. I’ve maintained my own sailboats for 25 years, and this episode of yours perhaps comes the closest, on all of KZfaq, to the reality as I’ve experienced it. Crawling around in narrow dark places on a sunny day with rusting tools. What a PITN it can be :>) But fun to see someone showing it as it really is. And good job!

Flashback for me ! One of the first things I had to do to my Cape Dory was replace the throttle. I had a problem with getting it to move correctly for my linkage. Fortunately I had the directions, and when I finally READ them, it showed me how to reverse the cam inside. Nice job on doing it with just brain power !! 👍👍

I guess he passed the point where sailing around the world felt like doing something with his life. I'm guessing that you are still feeling that what you are doing in this adventure of solo sailing around the world is definitely doing something with your life 👍😊 wishing you all the best!

Hey Holly, you are living my dream. I hope to get there... someday. Some quick suggestion for caulking jobs, learned the hard way. Clean the old caulk off. Different chemical compositions can react with each other and just make a gooey mess. If possible, run a bead of caulk around the perimeter and around bolts - in between the mating surfaces. This gives a much superior seal. Leaking through hardware may not fill the bilge but can contribute to rot, mold and mildew. BTW, I think your channel is my favorite sailing channel. Good luck, girl!

Aw, that sucks. I didn't get to tell Yarna goodbye. Oh yeah, I was gonna tell you. If you see a group of cows in a field some where on your adventures. Wait till it rain out than the next day early in the morning walk about in the fields and look for the cow patties. Flip them over and look for the black guills on the mushrooms or the purple stems. The white guill ones don't work. But the purple stems with black guills are the best. Don't eat them while you are picking or you might get lost someplace on an island. Or you might have an in depth conversation with a cow. Cows are not just for meat!
