Rilkean Heart is probably one of my favourite Cocteau Twins songs, because it was written as an ode to Jeff Buckley. Every time I listen to it, or even read its title, I am overwhelmingly reminded of how much of a loss the passing of his gente soul was. In my opinion, their most introspective album, presenting a more grounded, less expansive sound. Functioning like the last track on an album, Milk & Kisses is the perfect farewell to the Twins’ discography.

@eboethrasher13 күн бұрын
No. Not gonna happen. The closest we ever got and ever will get was the canceled Coachella show, and the tour they were planning. They were having rehearsals as a band but Liz had never showed up, and she scuttled the whole thing. I'm surprised they all three were on stage for the Q Awards Inspiration award in 2008 and even that seemed a bit tense. The video of that used to be up here but seems to not be here anymore, sadly.

@@eboethrasher i saw a few pictures of them and... it looked awkward. i think it was like they didn't want to be there and there were still some serious personal issues. i would rather for them to at least be cool with one another than reunite.

Easily the most original. Nobody else be able to create the beautiful sounds these three have been able to. Such a pity there's obviously no chance of anything new coming from Liz, Robin & Simon. But thank you for so many incredible songs with such a unique variety....

Love this acoustic versions from the EP Twinlights. Love the addition of Violins. I'm always thought that Four-Calendar Café (1993), Milk & Kisses (1996), Twinlights and Otherness (both from 1995) are highly underrated albums and EPs.
@WowJustWow3710 күн бұрын
I was in 7th grade when Four Calendar came out. Utterly changed me as a human. Haven’t stopped listening since. Didn’t know until I was a grown up that some people didn’t like the last albums! 😮
@ronnywilson211210 күн бұрын
@@WowJustWow37 Yes some people, I love those albums but I think old fans want the band repeat the Treasure, Head Over Heels or Heaven Or Las Vegas formulas. I'm fine with their evolution, you can't be the same the rest of your life. I'm always wonder how it would be if they would do more electronic music like on the Otherness EP. Maybe they ended sound like Curve, Garbage or Massive Attack.
