Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching. This is another full 4K video!!! Grab your popcorn and favorite beverage then sit back and get ready for this feature-length production!!! On this job, we were quite shocked to find out the driver survived after seeing the crash site. The truck was almost unrecognizable and how the driver survived...well, I have my thoughts that. Back to the job, we bring out the rotator, of course, our Peterbilt 389X with a Miller Industries 1150R towing and recovery unit, our Western Star with a Vulcan V70, Mike and the Ford rollback, as well as our traffic control unit. Ethan and Talon were on another job in the Peterbilt 4024 and missed this one. Ethan was not happy about missing it. Rain and heavy traffic complicate this, already difficult challenge. But, hey, if it were easy, anyone could do it, right? At least that's what they say. Again, I'm very pleased the driver wasn't seriously injured. This was a fun job despite the dangers and challenges. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

Missouri is really good about trying to protect the tow operators while working along the roads, the fire department I'm on works really well with the tow truck companies and law enforcement, we will keep at least one of our fire apparatus on scene with the wreckers until they get it cleaned up. Most other fire departments in our area will usually clear as soon as their job is done, but we're there as long as the wrecker is. And they usually don't charge us if one of our apparatus needs towed. It's a win win for all involved.

This vid got me snickering when the FD got to brake out there tools to cut the tubes and bar as Ron's crew didn't have anything to reach safely with out getting under it...

Holy cow have diesel tow trucks changed!!! When I did this in 1970’s, I learned with a 1948 KW and a 1968 Pete. Your trucks are a lot easier to get these wrecked trucks off the road. Sure did bring back memories of my youth.

Once he is asked to do something he reacts straight away, he works things out for himself and doesn’t keep on asking how he is supposed to do the task at hand, he is even starting to access the jobs and started getting ready for the next step, he is going to make a good recovery technician one day. 🇺🇸🇬🇧👍

No, that was an angel and a quick/smart response. The frame of that truck hit the tree square. No crumple zones. It sheared the bolts on the van body and sent it into the cab. Somehow he managed to survive being pinned up against the steering column like that. CMVs don't have impact tests like cars do. How could they on a cab and chassis? It is a luck thing. Glad it worked out like it did. It could have been much worse.

Very good observation. Engineering is where vehicles begin. I think about it every time I climb into my little SUV and start her up. I'm from Michigan, not far from The Motor City. An understanding of the auto industry and the brilliant engineers who design cars is part of my DNA. Ron's understanding of the fine points of where to attach what, how hard to pull, and all the tiny details, are what make him an outstanding example of this arcane craft.

Dalton is a fast learner. I watch these videos and think about when I was still able to do that kind of work. I used to get frustrated when watching these kind of channels because my body just can’t handle that much of a physical demand anymore. @@danaskubic2145 Very much so…but my mind likes trying to trick my body into doing things it knows I shouldn’t do. 🤣 I had a near fatal car accident in 1993 and a horrible work injury in 2009. Between those two events, I’ve had 22 surgeries. 2 neck (just had the second one), 2 low back, 3 major abdominal, 5 left ankle, bilateral carpal tunnel, and a bunch of minor surgeries. I have nerve damage in both hands. I need more neck & back surgeries, right hip needs to be replaced, and my left ankle needs a complete reconstructive surgery. It take a toll mentally when I see people working hard knowing I can no longer do that, but I’m still alive and I can still play my drums. I just have to be smart and not push it.

Just my opinion here as a former first responder who dealt with the highways often but I understand stopping short of the scene in order to assess where to place trucks etc . But parking that far away seemed to put u in an unsafe position as you were walking along the highway a good distance with traffic moving past at a good pace

@ Big Duke....the only closer location would have been on the bridge, and that is a no-go because the practically non-existing shoulder. Stopping past the bridge would have forced Ron to use part of lane 1 in order to pull-away around the cop-car, an unsafe move....thus, yes, he had to walk along the highway further then I'm sure he would have preferred, but in anticipation of his "next move", was the best choice.

Another fantastic job. Dalton seams to know his stuff just like Kenny. Like father like son. You all worked fantastic together. The communication between you all is awesome. Team work kicks butt. Great job everyone. Thank you to the first responders for keeping safety watch. God bless the driver. I hope he is alright. With loads of love from a loyal fan. Ron, I hope your family is doing well. God bless you all. Hi mom Pratt. Love to you all. God bless the whole Midwest truck company. You are all #1 to me.

You and your crew do some good work, Ron. This one took some serious time, brainpower and teamwork to resolve, but well-handled considering everything. Always learn a lot watching y'all work, all the logistics and things you work around when a situation is less than ideal, and a bit of unexpected mechanic work in this case. Keep being safe out there, and thanks for the shared content.

Nice video Ron and thumbs up. Good thing that the driver was ok isch... Obviously you can tell the weight of vessels or equipment that you are lifting, I have seen this before. Maybe you could now and then mention the pulling power you have on your winches during a rescue, so that we can have an idea of the amount of forces on the cables and hinches. Greetings from the Netherlands.

Out of what appears to be a stand of smallish trees the truck just happened to put it squarely at 2 of the bigger one. It's good hearing the driver is gonna be okay. And good the truck was empty too. A mess handled well by you guys as always Ron. I think it's funny that the rear section of the driveshaft fell off...with the beating and banging I would have thought the front would have given up first.

What a mess Ron. All I can really say is it's a MESS! You all got the job done safely & as effectively as you could given the situation. I have to agree with Dalton about just dropping the truck at the scrap yard lol as you said Ron you have to laugh. Glad the driver wasn't REALLY seriously injured in could have been MUCH MUCH worse! You have a good crew and safety is #1 in your book. With that sir I say God bless & ya 'all be careful out there. Thank you for what you do and all these great videos

WOW! In my 30 years OTR, I've seen a lot of death and destruction but, this is one of, if not THE worst I've seen in quite a while. It doesn't even look like there are many usable parts to salvage from this one. For the driver to only have minor injuries is a testament to how much safer vehicles have become, as well as the fact that someone was watching over him or her that day! I remember when the Jaws of Life was a huge hydraulic tool that had a separate gas power unit to run it. Now, they're compact and battery powered...amazing! I got a good chuckle when the firefighter said "we don't want to damage anything! As always, be safe and God bless you, your crew and your equipment!

If i ever move to near where Ron's shop is. I honestly would put an application in, if accepted, I'd love working for him. He's such a well composed gentlemen. Never seems to lose his cool with his team, Calling them employees would be an insult, this man, has his team so connected to one another, that, they work so fluidly in stressful situations. Damn good man right there.
