That's probably what makes this show so popular, is the video game/RPG-esque elements to it. At least, I know that's what drew me to it as a kid. And yeah, considering how I tend to be as reckless as Leeroy himself sometimes, this definitely would've been me my first time playing.

GardeBlaze Haha I know, but as kid, of course, I never noticed it. It's funny to discover these details now. Code lyoko still remains a good show to me tho. I can't point out another series of my childhood which give me such nostalgic feelings and which I still can enjoy so much.

Honestly I often thought that Yumi gets targeted the first. Because her "oh shit" button is the hardest to deal with. TK tires her out, but it is immensely powerful, and can change an entire encounter. Additionally her weapons are the most versatile, attacking from multiple angles. Yumi doesn't have power for the most part, but she is the one who truly sets the engagements up. The days when she goes out early is often their harder fights because she often attacks smartly.

Correctimundo yumi and ulrich are always targeted first because they are the most dangerous thats why his monsters will sometimes ignore odd in favor of one of those two if they're vulnerable.

beastlycharizard13 Exactly I think the writers disliked Yumi's character so they always made her the victim, the first to lose and obtain the hardest battles, which was bullshit. She has potential to be a great warrior. They upgraded her in Evolution though.

And the other girl Aelita got extra protection because devirtualization meant death for her in the first two seasons and only she can deactivate the towers. And Aelita's very weak so the guys always have to protect her! Which is worse, Yumi getting devirtualized as soon as she got to Lyoko or Aelita's role as the damsel in distress?

I think the megatanks are Xana's best monsters, 100atk=instant lyoko warrior devirtualization as well as even capable of damaging the lyoko environments, faster than vehicles, and protective shells that can block any lyoko warrior attack.

If you read the wiki it said that season 1 mega tanks deal 50 Damage and season 2 it deals 100 Damage so it's not a cheap shot. I found that out 2 days ago.

Y'know a detail that's often overlooked in the show is how devirtualization exactly works. Given the Lyoko kids at times hold themselves in pain, it strongly suggests that they're experience 1-1 pain sensation in the virtual world (which explains those shots of Jeremy looking at some close up of a hit they took). So let's remember those times the kids got crushed by a megatank or Sector V. Yeah, they got to experience being crushed to death.

Old post but./ Yumi also has the game changing tools. TK is powerful, sure its usually a one and done, but that one can completely change a situation. Her fan blades aren't super strong but they constanttly hound from unprotected hangles. Odd's arrows are straight forward and limited. Ulrich is melee.

Xana feels threatened by her the most. Since she's the oldest, and most capable fighter. On Lyoko her fans are very fast and even after she's been devirtualized, her weapons have a chance of hitting a target. She has telekinesis and is very agile allowing her to easily dodge attacks. Also next to Jeremy and Aelita, she's somewhat more advanced then Odd and Ulrich in using the supercomputer.
