I don't know why it is so satisfying to watch the brush hog working this way, but I got the same satisfaction when we were having the railroad right of way mowed, when I was a section foreman. I guess it is the way the land looks after the cutting is done.

The code is because you are putting the pump under to much stress. Y'all need to keep the engine from bogging down. If the engine ain't stressed, the pump ain't stressed. Don't let the engine bog down to hard and you'll be fine.

cut straight lines in front of the treeline and then clean them up when the field is mowed. You're using hp your mower deck needs when you keep that machine in a turn all the time. Notice your blade speed pick up when you're straight.

Believe it or not I find these types of videos satisfying and relaxing. I can only imagine how many snakes and such get chopped up in that. I would have both this and that super cruncher machine that just crunches small trees and what not. Seen it in another video where the guy was clearing the edges of a lake.

Interesting to see how easily sweetgum trees take hold most everywhere. Looks like the most prolific tree there is. And they seem to grow amazingly fast too.

I think it is funny the number of "experts" that tell you how to mow or suggest other patterns...obviously they are professionals at bush hogging an overgrown field even though they have never done it themselves. I thought you were doing a great job and getting things looking good. Thanks for sharing. There is just something satisfying about seeing a job well done.

A man after my own heart, I always like to cut in long straight lines. Cutting off curves and straightening the field cut lines looks better, and makes it easier to cut.

Just a question. Would it not have been easier to find somebody with 5075 goats and turn them loose in that area then to use your tractor to cut it all down?? Seems to me it would be a lot better for the ground to have the goats eat it up and drop it behind them. That many goats could really didn’t the brush!!

Use to work for the county road crew when I was a kid. 80 horse Ford tractors with 6 foot bushhog on the right side. Hydraulic driven. Cant be stopped. Would literally cut through anything. Anyway, the setup is two of these tractors cutting one side of the road. One up front to cut the right away and another behind to finish up to the tree line. Well, one day me another guy was cutting this country road. His name was CJ. CJ for County Jail. Yes, he was an idiot. He was up front doing the first pass when I noticed he would look at me, grin, and look back to where he was mowing. He did this several times when all of sudden animal parts come flying out from his mower. The dumb ass had run over a dead dog laying on the side of the road. It was awful. The smell was beyond belief not to mention the sight of it. None of it got on me thank God. I think I would still be throwing up if it did.

During the summer we would find snakes ...copperheads ....water moccison laying on the tree limbs over hanging the water waiting to drop on a unsuspecting frog fish ect to eat.. These snakes was huge ..6 ft and big as a mans arm ...pellet rifles had very little effect on them ..

You will be fine brother. That tall grass is a ton of stress on the engine and it builds up in your particulate exhaust. Just run a force regen to burn up all the unburned diesel in the exhaust.. great job.

I do this kind of work and have a suggestion. Go more slowly through the heavy stuff. If you have to keep stopping to let the machine spool up then you’re going too fast.

When diesels get hot you let them idle, so that they continue to circulate coolant. Heavy brush/pollen may have clogged up your filters causing the engine to run hot. Best wishes.

I don't know how it works there, but where I live city and county officials will give landowners grief and even fines if the land isn't kept maintained to a certain degree.
