On January 7, 2023, an officer stopped an SUV displaying signs of impaired driving in Waukesha, WI. The officer noticed a strong smell of alcohol coming from the vehicle upon approaching the male driver. When asked to step out of the car, the driver delayed, then suddenly accelerated away at high speed. Following a brief pursuit, he lost control and crashed into a tree before fleeing on foot.

That’s actually a really good observation, I just realized the majority of DUIs claim some thing along the lines of “iM OnLy 5 MiNuTeS AwaY fRoM mY hOMe” despite being in a completely different city. Something I have noticed is that blacks usually claim they’re on their way home because in their minds they think the cops will just let them go if they say that. It might be something in their upbringing that makes them think touching home base makes everything okay 🤦🏽♂️

Don't let cops intimidate you. If cops start asking if your had drinks. Stop talking and don't answer any more questions and wait for the ticket for their RAS or ask them what their RAS so they can complete their stop. Don't answer questions or agree to any test. The less you talk, the better off you are. If you smoke, light one up before they get to the window bc it's hard to prove they smell alcohol. They will make up reasons in whatever SFSTests you take to get your blood test done so they can get off the street and chill in the office.
