My dog has hermangiosarcoma. Shes 15 chuwawa x toy poodle. We had no idea until she started to bleed out into her abdomen. They cut out a mass gave her blood transfusion which saved her life at that point. She had a CT and they confirmed there is still a big mass in her rear near her leg. Since surgery she was happier and playful and started eating again. Then we started to notice she started straining going toilet. Went to see Oncologist to discuss the results and see if there was possibility to go for surgery again to get rest of it out. They told us due to the location of the tumor being near vital organs they would not recommend it as she could die on the table. That the cancer has nodules and has wrapped itself around a big vein that pumps blood around her body. Oncologist gave her a rectal exam and felt around in there and said she could feel it. She came home in discomfort and struggled to get herself comfortable when sleeping. She was shaking in her sleep and during the day but not from it being cold. Next day she started doing this thing with her back legs which she never done before and her legs were crossing over each other and started collapsing. Has anyone any idea why this would be such a sudden rapid change? I feel like its twisting her out i dunno if its nerves or what but im guessing it could be affecting the nerves. Is there anything in the rectal area that the oncologist could have pushed or triggered? I am regretting in a way allowing for it because for me its too drastic of a change post this rectal exam. This poor girl i wish she could speak to tell me. I dont know if i should do chemo for her or not. She cant speak for herself so i want to do the right thing by her. But if this cancer is so aggressive then i also dont want to just sit on it and im not ready to let her go by puttting her down. I want to give her the best fighting chance to be with us.

My dog was diagnosed and had his leg amputated in Aug. He’s in chemo. Got the vaccine last month with 3rd round of chemo and full set of tests and X-rays and still no visible metastasis. Just got his second dose a couple days ago with his 4th round. So fingers crossed. 2 more rounds of chemo to get through but we have high hopes
