Did the math for you boys, thank me later kind breakfast bar x1 = 110 cal breakfast shake = 150 cal apple = 80 cal kind chocolate cherry bar = 170cal peach & strawberries = 120cal warrior mix bar = 110 cal bagel with cream cheese and ham (healthy version) x2 = 400 cal bowl of berries = 80 cal huge salad bowl no dressings = 70 cal cup of juice = 120cal random seeds = 50cal (healthy) turkey sandwich + bowl of fruits = 350 cal another shake = 150 cal chicken & sweet potato bowl = 600 cal asparagus = 100 cal corn x4 = 300 cal small salad = 80 cal chips + guac = 200 cal total = 3240 (wow that's really not a lot)

Thanks so much for doing this! I think you're underestimating on a few things; probably closer to 4200 calories, especially if those veggies are cooked in oil. People count the calories in fruit, yes.

Cody, i wanted to thank you for your video's, particularly this one about food! my son is a 12 yr old competative swimmer and has struggled with food and not eating enough or properly. He is an awesome swimmer and hard competitor. Like you he has a sunken chest and struggled with showing his body at meets and training. His coaches are awesome and has motivated him incredibly. Coincidentally we had a meeting just a few days ago and the coach basically laid it down for Liam, saying he has to eat and how important nutrition is. Liam has also struggled with sickness due to chronic tonsilitas. He has surgery scheduled mar 26, after he comes back from san Diego training camp! We are positive that after his surgery and his new approach to nutrition he is gong to kill it at his upcoming meets! Thanks for showing a day of eating as it has inspired him to realize he needs to really really change his eating habits!! His coach and us as parents are main influence but you have also factored in..Thanks soooo much!! From Canada!!

I love this video. It taught me about my relationship with my food. I am a senior in high school and on my swim team, next week is my last week of swimming in my high school career... insane. But I’ve noticed I typically don’t eat breakfast, I eat some school lunch and then maybe dinner maybe not. For a high schooler swimming around 3,000-6,000 yards a day that isn’t great lol point is thank you for this video, really helped me put into perspective how I am fueling my body.

The whole fasted exercise - I don’t think that’s great for athletes of any age, especially a teenager. It’s trendy, but it’s trendy for people who think “cardio” is the elliptical watching Netflix. Teenagers are growing and need more food just to grow. Let alone sports.

Best way to cook brussel sprouts: 1. Wash and cut in half 2. Put them in a pot of boiling water for 2-3 minutes or until they turn bright green 3. Strain and immediately throw them in a pan with butter, salt, pepper and Montreal steak spice 4. Fry until they are browned and easy to stab with a fork

are you being serious? processed as in with added preservatives or made with chemicals. Its a kind nut bar meaning there are no preservatives and no chemicals in it. Packaged does not mean processed.

Brussel sprouts are easy to cook, just steam them in a bit of vegetable soup for like 7min. I love them in winter because here in the Northern hemisphere you get them fresh and local even now.

Probably cause he eats a lot to make up for his swim workout. Having super low body fat and having super strong abs isnt nescesarily that important as a swimmer i guess

Hate to be that guy in the comments that points out the flaws of the video, but you claim that you eat like a caveman, no processed foods with added sugar, then you proceed to eat and consume tons of food and drinks out of bags / containers / cans with 30+ ingredient lists.

The way I cook Brussels sprouts is: 1. Take a load and cut them all into 1/4s (cutting down the center longways twice) 2. Fill a pan with water just so it barely covers the whole surface. 3. Throw them all in the pan, cover it and cook on medium heat until all water is gone. Once all water is gone, take the lid off and let them cook for 30-60 more seconds so they crisp up a bit on the bottom. 4. Add pepper and garlic powder and enjoy! I eat love Brussels sprouts every day and maybe this can make them a little more palatable for you

Jason Lee There is no "healty food" or "unhealty junk food" it's only about calories. 12000 calories of carrots is same as 12000 calories of pizza.

First off I want to say that this channel is ridiculously awesome, and I’m training in being a Rescue Swimmer for the US Coast Guard, and due to having 2 sessions about 5-6x a week of Dryland Training in the morning, and swimming and most likely lifting in the afternoon, I know that everyone’s body is different but should the nutritional part be around the same demands as yours? Many thanks dude!
