I always wanted to make this cake but the amount of sugar kind of scared me in other recipes. Thank you. This is a much more comfortable quantity for me

That’s my kind of half a teaspoon of vanilla in the crumble! Question, I’ve seen in another of your recipes that you could substitute buttermilk for the sour cream or yogurt. I’m guessing it would also work in this recipe? And would value your opinion on a whole egg substitute, would you lean toward two egg whites or maybe Bob’s Red Mill egg replacement?

The substitution should work with this recipe too. I'm not sure about the egg substitute as I have not worked it before.
