I thought your stock can sounded pretty good, but the new exhaust definitely sounds better, looks better, and probably shaved off a few pounds as well. Doing the wrench-twisting yourself makes you an official biker 😎

Congrats on the new can. Sound nice for sure. The only thing I would add as a comment is that after you install an exhaust and before you fire it up, use rubbing alcohol and rub the entire thing down so that your finger prints will not burn into the exhaust. Maybe not an issue since your exhaust is blacked out, but good to do anyway.

Muffler swaps are generally always louder on a 300. The catalytic converter is built into the muffler of the 300 vs the header of the 500.

Congrats! I put the same exhaust on mine a few weeks ago, there are times where I've wondered if its too loud. But overall I love it too.

The original exhaust is better. I know it looks a bit naff, but you ll get away with it because it's a cruiser. Let's face it Honda know what they are doing!

Awesome exhaust! I think I would do this with my Rebel 300, except for the fact that I am already looking for my next upgrade, lol. I outgrew mine too quickly. I'm sure you'll be thinking of something faster as well in no time!

You just shed pounds with that mod and looks so much better.

Installed this on my Rebel 300, left baffle in, wear a full helmet. Pretty sure I have permanent hearing loss.... sounds horrible above anything but idle. It might be better on a 500 where the catalytic converter isn't removed.... but not for me. The stock 300 muffler with the baffle removed honestly idles about the same, sounds better through the revs, sounds better on downshifts and won't blow your hearing out.

The saying is loud pipes save lives. I'm not sure I want to put all of my safety in the hands of the exhaust. Nevertheless you did a successful modification and so long as it doesn't bring you to the notice of the locals in blue (or whatever colour they wear in your area) you'll be ok. Enjoy the rides and stay safe.

How many cat calls do you get for riding my sisters ride and they always tell me guys are always hitting on then or cat calling them but when I ride with them noone ever does

Is the new exhaust very loud to where your neighbors will hate you? Or it is a pleasant new sound that isn't too loud?

Mods are like Pringles. Once you start one you can't just stop there! Be sure if you are not wearing gloves to wipe your exhaust after installing it otherwise those fingerprints can burn in. Just use a little WD40 then wipe that off after its clean

The 300’s have the catalytic converter built into the muffler. Can it pass emissions with this new exhaust?
