You did complete justice to this topic. My heart goes out to people who thought cohabitating would yield the most successful marriage outcome, but that's not always the case. The problem is the expectation that it puts on both partners to take up roles that they aren't quite ready for eg the lady acting as a wife and home maker and vice versa.
