johnalmason Here is the difference. In countries like New Zealand and Denmark, everyone pays higher taxes, but the people ALWAYS see a return that benefits them personally. These higher taxes also provide maternity/paternity leave and a sense of security between jobs, etc. If we do this in the US, it would have to be thoroughly regulated because the money most likely would be used for something else and the people would never see it benefit them personally. The US is corrupt and wastes money. Yes, you might pay more while young, but when you are older you will use it. We are already partially doing it anyway, with so many people going to the ER for minor issues. Wouldn’t you also like to benefit?

Growing up in the South( Georgia) and playing Rugby in High School, Stephen Colbert brought back memories of my Southern accented coaches managing our team and how he'd always hype us up.

YourMomsYourDad it really is so beautiful. I’ve lived here 10 years and don’t yet take it for granted. There is a park near me that looks a lot like this with the hills all around.
@trevorvanbremen47184 жыл бұрын
Ummm, sorry to have to tell you this, but the 'NZ landscape' you can see in this short video is, at best, only mediocre. I doubt you could actually handle / believe the really GOOD stuff we have here!!! The only real downside about NZ is that we (unfortunately) still have these scumbags named 'politicians' and they keep vetoing an annual 'politician hunting season'!!!
