Cold Feet follows Kenyan climber, Peter Naituli, in his quest to become the first climber to ascend Point John (4883m) on Mt. Kenya with no rope and no shoes. Powerful winds, frostbite and falling stones lie in wait above the clouds. However, for Peter, the struggle at the core of this story is between his desire to build a career in the mountains and the pressure to live a ‘normal’ life.

As near-70 year old climber, who has climbed and explored mountains (including Mt.Kenya) for over 50 years, and who walks in minimalist shoes and barefoot, I relate strongly to your quest - and particularly to the spiritual elements of climbing and being in mountains evoked by your mother and grandmother. Love the beautiful filming and editing. Stay strong and free, Peter, and above all humble and grateful….

This is an incredible documentary. Even more incredible is your dad used to be our lecturer. It's always nice to have supportive parents who introduce their kids to something at a young age and are okay if they fall in love with it. In this case, rock climbing.

This is just absolutely beautiful bro. Seeing just a glimpse of the passion, joy, laughter, struggle and pain of what it means to follow your path has really inspired me. You are walking a path of the few...albeit a difficult one, following your heart, facing obstacles and overcoming them all. At some point, having to come face to face with death... the ultimate abyss that we must all cross, you did not give up. You crossed the abyss and were reborn to become something you can't even recognize. This is a true alchemical experience. People have called it a state of being ready to offer up ourselves - and I can see a lot of truth in this, especially as it relates to your experience. Once we are in the process of crossing the Abyss we are no longer in control of what is happening to us. Our challenge in such a situation is not to maintain our form or shape through protection or shielding ourselves from the incoming forces, but to stay soft and to resist the temptation of becoming rigid. Control at this point in time sits on the other side of the table. Just like a substance reacts to the exposure of acids or the blow of a hammer so we need to react to these experiences - rather than trying to prepare for them proactively. In situations like these power can only flow from the present tense. Once we have crossed the river of death we begin to ascend the huge mountain of oblivion and rebirth. This is what it means to truly be alive. I wish you so well my friend because the path continues. I encourage you to never give up, continue recreating yourself and in tough times...remember to revisit your foundations every so often. I can't wait to see much more from your work. Blessings.⭐

Inspiring indeed! You are natural, authentic and talented! Asking yourself if you should really do this sometimes and you push for it says it all. Also when you almost went down the mountain after losing grip was scary but what a terrific climb! Amazing capture and job by Ash and the team behind the scenes! Go Peet, cheers!
