The founder from this design is Frl.Winter... 1 - 2 yrs ago. I think she calls it Lollipop Swirl. But the technique is different. So same soap - different way to go... Great how you did... i like a lot and will try it too... its pritty easy for how it looks! Greetings from Styria in Austria Hedda

Hi Heidi. Fraulein Winter didn't create this design I'm afraid, It was definitely Diane. Also, she did not create the Lollipop swirl, that was created by Mater Sam. Fraulein Winter has done videos with both of these techniques in them, but she was not the creator of the techniques.

Nezumi soaps also made a round soap, she used a Pringle can. Worked very well. From what I can see in the first soap I'm inclined to say it's the old Einstein equation of movement, the wider the circle the more momentum on initial spin. However they turned out beautifully.

Hi Lisa! This is a fascinating soaping technique to try! I gave it a “whirl” myself last night, using my slow moving soap formulation, split the batter in half, added TD and a purple mica accordingly to obtain my 2 colours. And a lavender fragrance oil. The double sided tape is a genius idea ( thanks kindly Lisa !) that worked very well for me on my el-cheapo lazy-susan. I sealed the top of my acrylic mold with some plastic wrap just in case the batter went flying out the top when I set to spinning. I tried spinning in short bursts rather than a long spin. A long spin just had the batter and mold moving together at the same speed. I noticed the purple batter easily moved around the outer inside surface to cover the entire mold circumference. The mold gave me a clear sight of what was happening, and I realised I was developing the shear force required to get the batter moving and flowing against the inner mold surface thereby creating a nice thin line spiral effect. I cut the soap this morning I found I had very nice thin rings on the outer portion of the soap, like rings of Saturn, but almost no movement on the inner part. Basically, the inner batter had sat there. I will try again today and see what happens with a slightly thicker batter and get the inner design development. Meanwhile, I am rather pleased with my first effort! It’s a very fun technique! Thanks again Lisa for your inspiration! Cheers mike.

Hey Mike, thanks for sharing your findings, I agree with you, I think the long spin just gets it all rotating together, it does seem to need little thrusts

@@IDreamInSoap Hi again Lisa. I made a second test tonight, this time using a clear plastic sheet as an insert in the mold, to give me a very nice “Yin-Yang" separation/shape in the centre. It was rather easy to carefully pull the sheet out and then give a few short sharp spins and job done! Much better centre spiral result vs my first test! All good fun! Thanks again! Cheers mike
