22 + degrees is for hard use. I sharpen this sort of knfe to 22.5. I can get it really sharp and the edge works great for me. I live on, and care for, a 127 acre farm. I do tree work (ground crew) about once or twice a week. I use all of my knives really hard. when I go sharper on the angle is when SHTF and edges chip and roll.

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. Valid use for a valid angle for those of us that actually DO put them through hard use. We all know that's not me, so I'm coming at it from a different place. Still, that discrepancy in bevel angles is just sad.

👍🏼I like that knife. I pry their clips so I don’t do a permanent change to the grip. I heard coldsteel ain’t coldsteel no mo. :( I think my 2 coldsteels are from before.

Yeah, I mean it was a fixable problem for me, but think about the guys who don't know how to sharpen or lack the tools to do so.

@@knivesiguess my Rajah III the belly was ok but the recurve part was not ok. 🤷‍♂️ $40 from the ebays. It’s one of my top favorites now.

I would not go with the Amazon route to buy the 4Max as there are counterfeit ones out there.

There are, but that seems to be the link everyone wants. I haven't run into one yet, but it it gets to be a more expensive purchase I usually take it to BladeHQ.
