Cold Summer Morning in the Mountains - In the 30's??

It's the last couple of days of summer and a cold front came early presenting the mountains with some unusually cold temperatures in Western North Carolina. Join me as I grab breakfast at Bojangles, and get my biscuits up to Mt. Mitchell to see just how cold it was. The early morning had temp in the upper 20s at the highest elevations, and I wanted to see if I could get up and see what 30s in the summer was like at the highest point east of the Mississippi!

I like Bojangles ,good chicken and biscuits It looks like Mother Nature is playing a trick on us with the cool weather so early. The views are just breathtaking. That would be a great place for a picnic with that view, I could look at that all day .Sometimes you make me nervous filming while you are walking, Mt Mitchell looks like a beautiful place. I see why you like to go there. Thanks for taking us along.

🌲🌳🌿 Beautiful Vistas and above the clouds. 👍 The video quality look like it was 4K and my TV doesn't even accommodate 4K. I did miss your map though, showing the route you were taking to take to the destination.

Just too cool.....literally😎 I have missed out on all the rains, and now I am missing out on the cool weather.....Mother Nature just is not on my side this year😒 Absolutely beautiful up there, with the smoky clouds, and mountain tops and gaps for as far as the eye can see. I can't believe you went to Bojangles and did not get chicken biscuits😋 Neat sign you bought there, and the wife should enjoy the earrings🍂🍂 Thanks for the ride along, as I felt like I was riding shotgun🐾🐾🦊🐺

My fav at Bo'jangles is the sweet tea. I'm not much on their food. Great views and another great video!

I really like that picnic area you showed us. The views are outstanding. I like being above the clouds. I see you leave the berries for the wildlife like SMH does and I think that’s cool. Nice earrings for Fall. Thanks MMM for taking us up there. ( where’s the map?) be safe.

@@MrMountainMan Can we ask a question my husband has a harley Davidson and triumph motor bike 🏍 he has been riding for 30 years and when the world 🌎 is back to normal we are doing a road trip around the smoky mountain s .we saw you can hire bikes just wondering how safe is it on the mountain roads thank you 😊

@@lizallison324 Great question about mountain riding. As a motorcycle rider myself, riding safety has a lot to do with the rider's decision's they make. For example I always ride with an armored jacket, boots, and a full face helmet. I also try not to speed or ride carelessly. Same thing applies here in the mountains. Trying to speed through corners in the mountains recklessly can end up in a bad situation. Riding the speed limit, riding defensively, being smart, helps a ton and can make for some fun, safe riding. I also recommend riding during the day in favorable weather conditions (no heavy rain, snow, fog) to have an even safer and more enjoyable experience. The mountains here are probably my favorite place anywhere to ride. Have fun and be safe!!
