Killer Bee Nation! My buddy HotRod wanted to do this one alone but I talked him out of that idea! This is a prime example of just how deadly these Killers are! 25 degrees out and watch how they still attack! Enjoy my latest from the Hive! Now on Tiktok! www.killerbeeguy.com

Unbelievable!! I have a wild hive about 100' from my deck here in B'ham AL. It was 70 today & I got bumped for the 1st time this year. I've watched them swarm, complete mating flights, & I routinely observe them about 10' below their entrance in the huge oak tree they call home. They never bother me. If they ever do end up hot like your africanized bees, I'm dead. Bad knees & can barely walk much less run. Fascinating critters. Great video. Keep em' coming.

I didn't know bees could fly around that well in these temperatures. I've seen other vids where typical European bees are extremely sluggish until the ambient temps hit a certain level. These must a freak of nature...I guess you learn something new everyday.

My bees fly at 38 degrees, but they are gentle Italians. I killed an Africanized hive in Lehigh Acres Florida probably had 250000 bees and my gloves probably took 7000 stings. My jacket 30000 sting. Me about 80 stings. They had to die. I made certain. You should have CO2 fire extinguishers. Kills the bees, does not contaminate the honey. I used to think it was proper to requeen I don't think that anymore. It only takes one time.

Cotonwood buds are the biggest supply of propelys, spelling bad, but you know. You get around cottonwoods, or quaking aspens in the summer, it smells like you're in a hive, both in the genus Populus. Populus tremuloides, and can't remember species for common lowland cottonwoods
@KillerBeeGuy

Around here they like the Cypress trees in the winter for propolis. Other plants for pollen!

Some of these very old places, where springs used to be, there are big cottonwoods, and along the San Pedro, I bet they work the hell outa the miles of Cottonwoods. Nothing else has that sweet smell Now I have more reason to get that new camera with a bigger lens than the one I have, plus a macro lens. The way it goes, right after buying my Canon 10MP, they really started taking a jump. When I first got it, I was amazed, and took the best batch of pics of my life down in Belize. I think I finally got a pic of a Toucan, my third trip, learning their call. They are pretty wild, as the poor people are always trying to catch for money. @@KillerBeeGuy

I suppose 25 degrees is cold for Arizona. Here in Wisconsin that's just a warmup. I am glad killer bees can't handle our weather kinda like Arizona people. I don't see how lots of rock, clay dirt can be beautiful. I suppose if your looking at rock all the time in a desert and come along a few feet of vegetation some how that would look beautiful in a desperate way to see some greenery. Keep killin em bee wangler.

Hey Daniel! I was born in Eau Claire! I've seen -10 (yes that's minus) here but Bisbee is a mile high so it's a poor excuse for a desert. Google some pics of it and you'll be shocked! It gets down to 15 -20 almost every night here in the winter. Tucson 100 miles to the north is where hell is. Rarely freezes and in the summer 100+ every day. Phoenix is MUCH worse!
