It's the versatility and use of magnets that makes this product really practical and worth the investment. I was skeptical at first but no bad reviews so far, so might have to get one. I think this also would help when practicing and have neighbors to reign your snare in some without changing the actual feel of the snare.

Cole,you got that drum sounding beautiful with an without the dampening,[hence black beauty].may I ask your tunning method for the bottom snare head sir.Its just got that sound I strive for.Thank you for the videos you post,very enjoyable.!!!

David Suprenant thanks for the kind words David. I’ve got another video called something like “fix your snare in 5 minutes” where I talk about the bottom head tuning and tap a bottom head to give you a reference for what I’m listening for. Thanks again!

How is it compared to drum rings? Im currently using drum rings but want to hear a comparison before investing in them

Does it work on all types of hoops? That's what I want to know. Obviously it's not going to work with wood hoops, but what about die cast hoops?

They don't quite work with all hoops - S Hoops for example - but die cast should be fine. Wood hoops probably not unless it's the thin PDP ones.

I keep looking for videos that show there use on toms.

They're fairly aggressive for tom dampening (at least rack toms). They work well on floors too but sometimes the defection is enough to throw them off. I'd say they totally work for toms but excel on snare.
