Coleman Outfitter 550 troubleshooting running issues. Fuel injector part number. 28160355.. you can also unplugged One sensor at a time on your throttle body to see if it will run better to diagnose what sensor is bad remember to have your driver seat belt buckled while performing the test well you are driving it..

I sent mine to a repair shop and 14 weeks later I picked it up they had to replace throttle body with the idle control unit 15 minutes after getting it home a error code popped up and it was the water temp senor so I got in touch with coleman and they sent me a new one. I just turned the key to on position and let it run it’s boot up and then started it up and it has run like a champ now for 2.5 weeks Hopefully it will stay that way.

do you have auxiliary switch on yours if so do you know where the plug is on other end

THis really helped I unseated and reseated this sensor and all is well. it may have come slightly lose from usage. I believe it is a maf temp pressure sensor oem p/n is 16723-010-0000

we had one do this and it was dirt al in the intake and top and of motor air filters do not seal good

On a Coleman Outfitter hs400- 5 will not crank with ignition switch will crank if you jump the solenoid the winch has no power parking brake light stays on turn signals emergency flashers do not work sat in front of tractor supply for 2 months. Any help thanks

I was on the edge of buying one of these Coleman utv's because the price makes them seem like a bargain but I have seen way to many video's of these having running problems. My mind is made up that I won't be buying a Coleman utv.

Got a question, i just changed all my sensors, my engine will start and run but chokes out when i try to throttle up. is there anything i am missing?

To clear codes via coleman is to start the unit up and put your foot to the floor and get the rpm up to 10,000 rpm ror 3 seconds and while holding down accelerator shut unit off continue to hold for 3-8 seconds more then let off pedal turn key back on let unit boot start sequence and codes should be cleared

Yes that is right I remember now you are correct you hold your foot to the floor while it started and running for I thought they told me 10 seconds but could be wrong and turn it off with your foot on the floor and that will reset the codes it's been about a year since I messaged this machine so I kind of forgot

I have one that will crank with some starter fluid but won't stay running. Any ideas?

Swap out the spark plugs for a good one. That happened to a buddy and it fixed the issue. The cheap factory plugs foul quickly

Hello, that sensor you’re disconnecting was the MAP sensor. Did you end up replacing it? I have two of these I’ve picked up with very similar issues.

The one machine I have actually fixed and it runs great after I replace the oxygen sensor in itthe company said a bad oxygen sensor can cause it to run like that and since I replaced it on the one machine it has been running Great the one machine I am still having issues withthe company told me you can do a hard reset on it if you start the machine up and hold your foot to the floor and let it pack off of the rev limiter for 10 seconds and then turn the machine off and that's supposed to reset the computer and everything else in the machine it didn't help that whatsoever though they're tech support is absolutely horrible as well

if anyone has any answer, just rebulit this coleman 550, new fuel pump, if i plug in the fuel pump the dash lights shut off, changed relay with alternate relay same problem. pump wont turn on and dash lights go out when i plug in the pump. help please

When I got my Coleman I had to go in and reroute some wires as a lot of it look kind of iffy about cutting and shorting out. Wire management on these things are not the best.

@@getdownorlaydown3696 so far it's been pretty good. Likes to jump in and out of gear, but that's just an adjustment that solves that issue. Had to put some washers on the roof so it didn't blow off going down the road at 80 miles an hour on the trailer. Wouldn't stay running one time, but that was the throttle cable needing adjustment. The fuel gauge temporarily went out but that was an easy fix. If you own one of these things you really have to learn how to work on them as they do require minor maintenance.

how do you clear old error codes on these unit's, I just bought one in june and had to send it to a repair shop 12 weeks later we got it back only to have a 118 code pop up I replaced it but the code is still there and it does not run right.

Only way to erase them codes is with the code reader that is meant for them that I know of you can try unplugging the battery overnight and see what that does

Mine ran moved and just shut off. 24 hrs. No fuel out line before filter. Is that a pump

Yes I would say you have a weak fuel pump or a fuel pump that is not working

Mine has the seatbelt issue but also discovered gas in the oil...WTH would cause that? I have 15 hrs on mine.

Being a fuel injected I'm not sure either it's not burning all the gas properly or you could possibly have a leaky head gasket

You can do a leak down test on the cylinder if you have a leak down tester to see if you have a bad head gasket I know it doesn't have that many hours on it but it is possible

Why not just leave it unplugged if it makes it run better? I’m sure they are so choked down from the factory for emissions reasons.

I would but I can't these belong to tractor supply company they haven't even been sold yet so they have to be fixed proper they even sent me throttle bodies to put on and that did nothing they sent me a computer to hook up to itand with all the codes that was showing they said the O2 sensor sounded like it was plugged up so I took it out cleaned it all up in that did nothingso needless to say I am still fighting with these things trying to figure out what to do with them.

If they were mine I would just leave it unplugged I wouldn't care but you never know it could lead to another problem somewheres else
