Thank you so much! It’s hard to for me to imagine that I could be inspiring to others! For a long time, I hated the way my playing sounded, but I listened to others who had a softer touch and worked hard to emulate them (Lukas Pool, Adam Hurt, Brad Kolodner) and my teacher Dan Stewart. Thank you for the encouragement!

This is a beautiful arrangement and performance, interestingly this autoplayed on my KZfaq mix and i could have sworn it was Hard Times Come Again No More, then I was positive it was The Bonnie Blue Flag, sounds like both but isn't either lol Love your covers, looking forward to seeing more!

I look forward to your posts. We all need inspiration to keep from getting stale and for me you are it! I really like the easy, controlled style with which you play. Sometimes the super fast execution, while impressive, is a muddy mess IMHO. Also, your choices of a few modern tunes have been a unexpected surprise! And for sharing info freely......Thank you!

Thank you for such positive feedback! I couldn’t play lightning fast if I wanted to, but I don’t want to, because I agree that it detracts from the beauty of a melody. I am happy to share with others what I have learned along the way. 😊

@@banjogranny9156 I quit in 2014 & I am a shadow of what I was. Now that I have started playing again it is a REAL BIG PAIN. I am pretty bold and bought a Stratocaster April 25th 2023. Played banjo for over 50 years and started a new instrument. I am 38 days in and have been playing 5 hours a day. Hendrix, Clapton, Page, Doobie Brothers, Kieth Richards all are part of me. I am 67 years on the 3rd rock from the sun and thought the idea of learning rock guitar was a better option than a Rocking chair 😂. When the GRIM REAPER comes for me he will need ear plugs. Love your Clawhammer and Scruggs styles. No reply is necessary just keep enjoying life with your music. You don't have to post. ☮️

I agree with you about playing slow. Like you I couldn't play fast if I tried. I play clawhammer banjo on a banjo with a 12" pot. A slower tempo really brings out the mellow tones. You have a very beautiful technique.

@@banjogranny9156 WOW I play by ear. I wish I could comprehend written music or tab. Too late to start over 50 years into picking and Clawhammering. Earl Scruggs was my hero. Wade Ward & Kyle Creed I met at Galax OFC. Made a big impression on me in 1967.
