The thing that bothers me most about Opie, even with the laundry list of options, is that he plays the same “bomb” clips over and over and over, acting like he’s been slinging gems the whole show. Ant's "plankfoot" story deserved to be ridiculed and I'm glad Vos at least commented on it. If Vos wasn't Vos and Ant wasn't the host, they would have joined him in trashing it. Even if it was a great story, no, the listeners don't need to hear the origins of Joe Currie's nickname. He's not some beloved show character, even as Ant's friend and a comic they correctly make him sit in the audience and listen even when he's in studio.
