when Colin Stetson starts rocking back and forth, you know shit's about to get wild

Please, please, if you have a chance to see Colin live - do it, I guarantee that what you pay for will seem like nothing compared to what you experience. Tonight at the Union Chapel I caught him saying something along the lines of 'I wish you could feel what I'm feeling' - with a mixture of exasperation and elation, a warning as much as an insight into the kind of absolute focus I can only imagine he must have trained himself to be in to perform these pieces. Take away the great playing, the miasma of sonic textures he's able to bring, and then keep in mind that he's having to simultaneously sing, and use the instrument itself as percussion, while maintaining a circular breathing rhythm for ungodly amounts of time - that prolonged tension in his whole body, being released in the playing itself, must be some kind of transcendental experience for him as a musician - to reach that point where you're on the horizon of what your very body is capable of doing, but it's the tension in this horizon that keeps you in the moment - this is the feeling I imagine Colin was referring to. As, daresay, orgasmic it is to experience this live, as mind fuckery exploding as it is, I can only imagine what he's feeling in these prolonged periods of absolute focus.

I am currently dedicating myself to the pursuit of art mastery. It is something few people can experience. I cannot imagine how a person like Colin, who has done the same thing since he was a teenager can feel. Excellence is like a drug, it possesses you like nothing can. It is something most people cannot fathom.

@@i.m.6758 biblically accurate angels are not what angels are generally depicted like (beautiful humans with wings), they’re often described as much more horrifying in appearance with many limbs or eyes etc. I think the comment is meant to say that the music is beautiful like angels, but also haunting and mysterious like one might view a more biblically accurate angel.

@frosch161 Жыл бұрын
You basically fill your mouth with air when your almost out of breath and pushing that air out with your cheeks while breathing in through your nose. You can even try it at home with a straw. Just hold your hand against the airstream and try to keep a steady flow going. Thats roughly the "concept" behind it

Makes me wanna say this but ... Idk man but, have you think of any your own actions? Does someone still remember the day you did that action infront of him without your knowing? Do you realize someone knows about your actions without you knowing whos them? Whos who? Whos us? Who am i? Who are you? Is the people watching you real? What if it just an imaginary thoughts that the brain process because in real time. You weren't even there. You never knew those guys. Who are the real you?? Which are you choosing? Which has the truth and have the false? Every choice has a consequences right? Do you know the consequences? No, no one does. Everything became so real you thought you are there. Infact. You're stuck here. In a imaginary place where you brain creates whatever he likes. You see square. We see triangle. Your perspective on what is infront of you is different. Everyone does aswell. Well. Which is the truth? We never knew. Who hide the secret? Government? The world? Time? Time will eventually stops. But everything that stop is also a start right? No. Not everything have a second chance. If you die. Whether you reborn as a normal human, or stuck. In a maze of darkness and emptiness surrounding you. Surrounding you life. Was it the worth of living? Is living actually worth it. You gain everything but it all fades away when u die. What the better option? Theres no better. You feel the world is full of pain because you thought the world is pain. Escape from what you scared of. Everything is a lie, even myself. But. Does it worth to die? Its your own life to decide whether is true or false. Don't let someone control over you. Try not to get too much hope for 1 human being. Once that hope broke. You'll be dead inside knowing you just got broken hope by someone you never actually knew. But eh' everyone deserves to be happy :33💕💕
