UConn has proved twice that one doesn't need 5 stars to win titles, team chemistry, and high basketball IQ, particularly for the actions UConn runs.

@@nazur72 their not in recruiting because they only have one player that is Travis Perry. The rest of the roster is transfer portal pieces. Last I seen they were 3rd behind Kansas and Indiana in transfer portal rankings, and that was before they added Kobe brea and Kerr Krissa. They have to have jumped Kansas now. But as for actual recruiting rankings their not ranked because Cal took those kids to Arkansas or 3 of them anyway

Kentucky is officially Louisville, 2 or 3 yr. head coach mark pope was the last resort, no quality coaches or players want to come to Kentucky. It will be a decade and 3 coaches, before Kentucky returns!

Facts, Cal can have the most talented roster in the country, in which he does alot, but still find a way to lose. He doesn't care about winning, he is just milking schools resources for a pre NBA program, and does absolutely nothing coaching wise to win games.

It's amazing that everybody still thinks it's 2012 it's like the media is intentionally scraping the last 5 years under the rug for Calipari. All the inflated rankings and tournament disappointments and high expectations make the pain all that much worse for those who believe him.

Hell yeah brother I'm excited to have Pope! I know he has never won a tournament game before but I feel like it's a major upgrade! I know our roster isn't very talented either but that doesn't matter, they want to play for the name on the front of the jersey! GO cats!!

It's a lot more complicated than that. There were a lot of things that kept building up that turned the fans sour on Cal. It wasn't just the tourney drought. The lack of post-season success just made it impossible to overlook a lot of other stuff. That said, there's still a lot of love for what he did with his time in Lexington. Gave us some great seasons and did some great things for the community. Arkansas SHOULD be excited because Cal is going to do some really fantastic things. Just don't OVER-invest in his coaching ability.

Arkansas will beat Kentucky by 20 for yrs to come!
