as a current grad student at Stanford, i was rejected there for undergrad (was my top choice) and went to a different university which honestly, ended up being one of the best experiences of my life. trust, everything happens for a reason!

aw it's okay! i'm trusting that it is not where i was meant to be at this point, & i got into another really amazing school that i'm super excited to attend. plus, there's always grad school :)

ann arbor is a beautiful town, umich has a great campus and an amazing rep. you got decent money from them i would highly consider!!

True. They're even more selective than the ivy leagues by having a 5% acceptance rate.

ROSHAUN COOMBS less than 5%, Harvard was 2% this year and Stanford is even less sooo.

hi jayde! i am also a current senior who got back all my college decisions already and cried like a baby when i found out i was rejected from USC. i've watched a lot of college reaction videos, and i have never seen someone actually include footage of their raw, emotional reactions to getting rejected. thanks for including that, because i totally felt you, girl. but you got into some other amazing schools, so don't worry, there is another plan for you in your college journey and beyond. rooting for you wherever you go!

Well done for getting so many acceptances! When I applied for college last year I was also rejected by my dream school (Oxford university in England) and so I can relate to your Stanford reaction. I think when it’s your dream school it’s easy to focus less on logical stats about how hard it is to get in and cling on to hope, it’s exactly what I did. Good luck with college wherever you decide to go, you’ve definitely got some amazing options to choose from!!

Massive congratulations on getting into Michigan!!! It's a ridiculously awesome school. Ann Arbor is a nice city too, but to be completely honest, the winter there is pretty brutal.

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for sharing this video. A few weeks ago I received a rejection from my dream UK university and I didn’t understand why, slowly I realized that God had sent me to another really good uni, for He has set a path for me and I believe that He will give us nothing short of the best. 💕 Thank you once again for sharing smth I can relate very deeply to.

Nice video Jayde. For the scholarships, did you combine financial aid and scholarships in the decision slide at 9:38. I’m glad you were able to get some good scholarships and into schools you wanted too. I’m at UofM as well.

Jayde, dont get dishearten on Stanford. I am telling you from my own experience few of my close friends went there and if you compare them with me .. I am much better off as a professional and there is always a chance for you to do Masters from Stanford. What makes a difference is to keep your hardwork going and dont lose heart. Good luck Kid!!!!

Congratulations for your acceptances :) But to be honest you didn’t seem to really have a realistic view on these acceptances. I mean it’s super super hard getting into Stanford like almost impossible even people who get into all ivies don’t get into Stanford

Marie Berry Thank you so much! & I knew not to have super high expectations for Stanford, but it was my dream school since I was a kid, so it was still disappointing. I’m ultimately very happy with how life turned out though, so it all worked out! :)
