Were you like me, trying to figure out which dorm? She can see the main part of campus. She is also on the 5th floor, which means she isn't in Windsor or Meredith Halls...is Windsor even still around? Anyway, Hail Purdue!

@@kimsmith1746 the dorm is Griffin North, and it just opened in fall 2020! it’s by Wiley Dining Court and Windsor (yes Windsor is still there lol)

hellooo - i’ve had really great roommate experiences and it’s like living with a friend! - at purdue, freshmen can’t pick their dorms but sophomores and above are able to pick their dorms and which floors/rooms they want to be in - single rooms are usually the most expensive and newer buildings like this one in the video are also more expensive. most people do shared double/triple rooms! - my dorm rooms in the past have been pretty spacious, but some dorms can be a little cramped so it depends on the building your dorm is in and how much stuff you bring into your room - some ways to earn money that i can think of are working at dining courts, being a barista at cafes, and tutoring other students

thank you! i didn't need to buy a bed raiser for this bed ~ it had a slotted frame that's adjustable, so something like a rubber mallet can be used to tap underneath the frame to unhook it from the bed legs, move it upwards, and hook it back!

thank you! my bed was just raised to its highest setting which you can do on your own without buying risers, while my roommate’s bed was raised by Purdue’s bed lofting company

i was in a regular suite! the semi-suite is really nice you’ll get an extra living area space :)

i switched my major so many times haha but i’m studying marketing with a concentration in innovation management 🤍

ohhh yea i’ve been inside meredith south and it really is just like griffin north!

this was Griffin North (renamed to Frieda Parker Hall)! the furniture in that dorm is all black because it was newly built, but all the other dorms have wood furniture

overall i'd say purdue isn't super hard to get into! if you're going for a highly competitive major (i.e. electrical/computer engineering), the most difficult part isn't being accepted but passing hard ("weed out") classes at purdue

for my bed’s height, you can raise it yourself :) and for my roommate’s bed height which is shown towards the end of the video, you have to go through bed loft!

my bed came with an option to lift the mattress frame up so i didn’t need to buy anything extra! once i lifted it up, i pushed the dresser underneath

you can unhook the bed frame that’s holding the mattress and move it up higher! if you want to loft it like a bunk bed, you would have to call purdue’s bed lofting service and ask them to do it before you move in

@@tsuilewlee3779 my jackets are from North Face and like the other comment mentioned, Columbia is another good brand! as long as your jacket is a puffer/down jacket, waterproof, has pockets and a hood, you should be alright
