Deion did it with travis hunter at jackson state, who was the #1 recruit in the country. Jackson state is barely subdivision. Deion is a great recruiter, and this guys coach excels at recruiting. His 5 star wasnt even the #1 recruit in the country. So yeah, its possible.

He's the person who deserves it Ugf pandas introduced me to the NCAA series (I was 4 in 2013) Nte has made a whole new generation him and qjb were the perfect ppl to do this and t Right now they are 1 and 2 on trending so this is so bittersweet and a great way to end the ncaa14 era and to start the new one

I’m on house arrest, parole, no fly lists, in the dog house, FBI most wanted, but IDGAF! Totally worth the trouble. I’m so damn happy I could cry.

@@jameswightman6347Travis Hunter being a big one. As well as some older situations like Daunte Culpeper back in the day but it definitely shouldn't be a common situation. Seems like an AI issue where the bigger schools were ignoring them. Hopefully it's tuned better for release or shortly after

I actually dont really mind him landing some good recruits at a 1 star school because it cost him his entire recruiting budget and made his class extremely small. What I do have a problem with though is the elite prospects in the top 100 players not getting any interest at all making them essentially free commits... this is completely unrealistic and shouldnt be possible. If a player is in the top 25 at their position they should have a minimum of 5 respectable suitors no matter what.

Is it a problem with 3500 prospects then? That the AI finds someone else that's closer to home or matches their schools grades better that they don't even look at the dudes that's ranked top 25? I just assumed there would always be some 'low lock cheese' strats.

@@Cipher_8 yeah sure I think its totally fine for good players to sneak through the cracks and stay close to home especially in less prominent states, but even still those guys virtually always go to an instate power not the smallest school with a football program. For example last year of the top 400 recruits only 1 went to a non-power5/ND. I actually dont think this is an issue though anymore bc in online dynasty it will be impossible for this to happen since everyone will be fighting for all the best recruits and in offline its up to the player to decide if they want to play the game realistically or not.

@SuperMikeDitka ya like if I'm a bigger school I imagine part of the challenge to recruiting doesn't become getting the best talent but talent that fits your school so things like Deal-breakers become important to finding recruits that you can keep happy even if they are slightly less talented cuz who cares if it's a top 25 at the position if they will just transfer portal out after a few seasons cuz they're stuck behind starters (because bigger schools will have better players ahead of them most likely where small schools they'd start day 1.)

I’m from the UK so have zero knowledge of how college football works or what redshirts are or the whole recruiting works but love the idea of playing this game. Thank you to this video for giving me something to learn from to at least make more sense to me now than before.

Redshirts stay at the same grade for an extra year, but at the expense of only being able to play 4 games that year. It should only be used in freshmen and sophomores you want to develop but not as a starter just yet

That seemed WAY to easy to rebuild. Perhaps it’s a low difficulty but still he was able to recruits multiple 4 to 5 star players within the first year and was winning almost right away. I sure hope the experience isn’t that shallow.

Only thing that is concerning and I am hoping that it is just because this is a beta build of the game. He picked the recruiting tree, but at the end of the year he got all those massive overall jumps for his players. Which made his team jump up to a 81 overall in just 1 year. That is the same overall as some power 4 schools. He didn't have to pick the motivator tree to get those overalls to jump that high. it seems like it happened to quick and easy to be on same overall as some power 4 schools in just one simmed season. Adding on landing a 5 star QB along those 4 star players.

Im not even tripping on him getting the 5 and 4 stars because he dumped all his time into them and obly had like 9 recruits total......my only issue is at the start of the first season Kennesaw State was a 71 Overall, and the next season they jumped to an 81 Overall. I hope the progression isn't that OP

I am really excited. However, the statistical issues worry me a bit. For example, only a handful of players ran for over 1,000 yards. In real life, 45 players surpassed 1,000 rushing yards. Not to mention, 15 players achieved 10+ sacks last year, and in this video, nobody did. I know it's just from the beta, but I hope this is fixed and stats can be more realistic. I want to relive the old Wisconsin days and have nearly three players hit 1,000 rushing yards or go over 2,000 with one, but I don't know if that will be the case.

Yup, jumped out to me as well. Also every team had 2-3 losses. Some concerning things jumped out in this video between the sim engine and the recruiting engine

The one problem I have is not that it was easy to get the 5 star but that he wasn’t being heavily recruited by other top programs. Like no matter what the number 2 QB in the nation is gonna be recruited by the top programs no matter what.

We didn’t get the old games unless we imported from the US then we had to change the region of our console. I played 14 once at a friends house, but this is our moment! We made it, brother! @@DavidBrown-bc4pf we sure did!! I purchased NCAA 14 and when I sold my PS3 I just threw in NCAA 12, 13 and 14 in. Then a few years later I wanted it again but see it was worth £130 or something! Managed to nab it again though for 50 and then sold it again for same price and regretted it immediately! Haven’t been close to getting it since but now it doesn’t matter, we really did make it haha

Probably was just locked for this version of the beta he played. I would imagine they will give us more customization for players since they hyped that up a lot. Destiny beta had things locked down like this as well back in the day.

I'm a little bummed that the recruiting still seems very unrealistic. Regardless of how many hours you spend, Kennesaw state isn't getting a 5 star in real life. I see nothing in the video that suggests the game is being played on "Easy", so I'm a little worried. I also don't care that he sacrificed a recruiting class for it. Landing two 4 stars and a 5 star is enough to propel you up into actually contending for a full recruiting class of those players the following season. Hopefully they make it harder.

Hopefully in the full game they actually show how many overall points a player went up during player progression like they did in 14 instead of just showing the overalls. Is a lot less immersive and more confusing without that because you cant see really see what players were putting in work compared to who barely improved

Getting a 5 star and 4 star with Kennesaw off the bat is quite demotivating for the realism of the recruiting system that’s supposed to be “hard”.

@@kghostthegreatnot really a ton of luck, nobody recruited two of the highest rated players in the class…this is an issue that happened in ncaa 14 as well. An issue they said was fixed and that we wouldnt need house rules. Its disappointing

@@kghostthegreat It wasnt lucky. By year two he had 1 five star and 5 four stars. His overall went up almost 20. And if the holes matter, why was he going almost undefeated in full sims with a bad team. This was easy recruiting and easy gameplay and Im praying its not this easy of a game.

It was a combo of luck and abusing the recruiting system. He showed us how to break the system, the devs probably intended for people to push for players who already show interest in your school and make it possible to be rewarded for pumping your hours into a player or two that was getting neglected to an extent. There's also no guarantee that it will be this easy on release. By going down this route, NTE forced his team to have more holes and a general lack of depth, something that the devs said will be much more important AT LEAST when actually playing the games due to Wear and Tear. The luck absolutely comes in the sim. We know that 9/10 times your team won't catch fire and start rolling, which will make it much easier to recruit. The players will see the false narrative that the team is strong.
