Well, every student in France (and in Europe on general) dresses well to leave the house. I feel like only Americans really go to school in leggings or sweatpants ahaha ^^

Hi Tia! I'm a french student at Sciences Po, and I wanted to precise more about homework: as regural student we have a lot of homework, I think the program is lighter for exchange student! Maybe it's different for french speaking classes.

Your work is awesome ! I'm french and its really interesting to hear a foreigner's point of you on one of our best known institutions ! Although, I'm listening to the video with headphones and the sound is only coming in the left hear ... maybe you should chevk your microphone or your settings or whatever ? That wasn't a problem in your vlogs... hood luck for the rest of your studies ! :)

I love this College series! Bravo! Tu parles très bien en publique. I just applied to both UCLA and Sciences Po. Let's see where their decisions will take me.

Great video. Just to add that there are frats and sororities at my universities in the Netherlands, where I study, however they're not as big as in the US :)

Loved the video Tia!! Its really helpful!! I have a question, does science po have like specific situations (like exams or class presentations) where you are required to dress formally?

Hi Tia, I'm a high school senior who was recently admitted to the UC Berkeley-Sciences Po Dual Degree Programme. It all looks very exciting, but there are a lot of questions and concerns that I have before I fully commit to the program and I thought hearing some answers from someone who actually goes to Sciences Po would work best! So first off, I know over in France they have the CROUS system for housing uni students. Does this foster the same kind of social atmosphere that living in a dorm in the States would (like, how hard/easy is it to get to know or make friends with the people who live with or around you?) Second, since most Sciences Po campuses are much smaller than the UCs, does that mean that the number of student activities and extracurricular clubs and activities are much more limited as well? Are there not very many choices in activities on campus outside of academics? And finally, could you give a brief example of what an average week at Sciences Po would be like? (any social aspects outside of the classroom would also be appreciated). I would be attending the Le Havre Campus if that helps any. I apologize for the lengthy comment, Sciences Po just looks so exciting and scary and I would really appreciate some insight from an actual student. Thanks!

hmm I've never heard of this Crous housing system. At Sciences Po Paris (I think this campus is diff. from those in your program), the Crous is what we call our dining hall! haha. But the UC program facilitated a pretty great orientation where I met a lot of my friends. I have a video on that you can check out! To answer your second question, there are actually a good amount of student activities at the Sciences Po Paris campus. From art to sports to different social groups and non profit student groups, they're always in the main lobby (peniche) of our main building sitting at information tables happy to talk about their club/cause! As for the third, maybe I can vlog a day or a week at Sciences Po? Let me know if you'd like to see that, since I can't really summarize a typical week since there is no typical week abroad! Each week I'm doing different things, discovering different places, hanging with different people. It's always a new adventure! Hope that helps, and good luck with your decision!
