I know the feeling of being awarded a scholarship as a walk-on. It’s difficult to describe. I was blessed. The last three years of college were paid for…..and I left college with no debt.

That ECU scholarship was a true tear jerker.. His mom was going to do the most to keep her son in college. Then they get a blessing like that.

That mom that had 3 jobs and was going to give up her car to the bank actually had me in tears. To see someone that has given everything to her son never expecting a return other than her son’s happiness was heartbreakingly beautiful.

I’m a 50 year old dad that was blessed with two kids that went to college and graduated with degrees the thing that my kids never had to fight over or worry about was food on there table and a roof over there heads and because of that they were blessed .. watching this I see some kids that had to worry about food and a roof but there determination and talent and will to survive and god got them a full ride … I just hope they use that full ride to get educated and get a degree so they won’t have to rely on football because 99% will never make it to the NFL and the 1% that does a large % of them get injured within the first few years … There were kids on this video that literally had me crying , that one young man that was homeless and slept at the field had me truly choked up …

I swear it usually takes a lot for me to get emotional and to get tears out of me, but seeing these guys get what they’ve worked their whole life for finally pay off really gets me honestly and it makes me cry happy tears seeing these guys face light up and just finally get what they all deserve tbh. Which I think it’s crazy these guys 0ut their bodies on the line and have to fight for these scholarships tbh.

I do know one thing, idc how strong or big of a guy you are, whatever, it’s impossible to see the ECU one and not get emotional once you see how close he was to having to quit, knowing what his mom sacrificed for him, etc. truly a great story.

Dang. That kid who said "I plan on being someone like him one day, and hopefully touch people the way he touched me." Got me misty eyed. I hope that kid lives every dream he has.

I received my very first scholarship today and I must admit this video is the best way I could express myself. I get so overwhelmed with finances; trying to stay two steps ahead but always seemed three steps behind. Scholarships saves lives it definitely saved mine! God Bless all the donors! ❤❤❤ Now I can study in peace this semester and apply for more next semester.

There is nothing better than to watch hard working deserving young men get rewarded. I'm sorry I said hard working beyond hard working is what I meant to say. These young men kill themselves to play the sports they love and get their educations. I know first hand I worked 2 full time jobs when I was 20 so I could keep my family together after my stepfather walked out on us. My dream was college I never got to go. I'm so touched to see these young men get what they deserve. God bless you all!!!!!
