@@theweescotsman509 im with you both, its opissite for me. My father had me late in life. Im 25, taking care of my 2 lovely children. Then i care for my father 81, and my mother 68. It is sad because ive only known my father almost as a grandpa we never have bonded. And my mother has progressive Alztheimers. Some days she knows my name some days she dont. I cried so much watching all these clips. I just want the best for everyone around anymore but i feel like a empty shell.

My Dad tried but I was able to stop him. It was a miracle I even heard the slide of the pump being as far away as I was. He'd had health problems for years leading up to that and I was giving him 24/7 care while I worked across the street 12 hours a day. He passed not long after that. He hated showing me his weak side but I was finally able to get him to relax and accept my help without worrying about it. The best part of it all was he told me he'd never felt as close to me as he did those last couple years.

It’s so much easier to cry & let it all out, to someone else’s experiences, someone else’s memories. That has to be screwed up but I can’t help it. I don’t always face my demons & fears, but I cry with joy when I see others do it, overcome, win & feel the appreciation they have unknowingly worked for.

I lost my father to cancer 16 years ago. I'm nearing my 30's now. I'm in absolute tears, because not only is it sadness that I miss my father so much but it's also happiness. Seeing these fathers makes me appreciate all the caring fathers in the world but it makes me realise, I'll have the chance to give my future kids what I never had. I'll have have the chance to give them the encouragement I never received. I will have the opportunity to be there for my kids and although I'm not going to let them run wild, I'm going to support them no matter what decisions they make. I want to show my future kids the world, the good and the bad. I want to have a family one day and when I will, I will be everything my father was to me before his passing. I remember being 5 years old and climbing on his back while he walked around the lounge room on all fours. I remember being with him on a school holiday while he drove all over the country making deliveries for his business... it was boring but every moment we were in that van is now very special to me. He would put on random Beatles or Queen songs and I would sing with him. One time some kids in our area older than us were beating me and my Brother up and I had never seen him that angry before, he jumped our back fence and dropped 10ft to the ground before chasing them off with the loudest roar I've ever heard from a man. He already left for work before I would wake up for school but every day at 6pm he would come in through our back door and I would give him a big hug, every single day from the moment I can remember up until the day he died. 2005 was a long time ago but I can remember it like it was just yesterday. I spent some time with his side of the family recently after not seeing them since 2006 as Mum took me and my brother to another country. My 70 year old Aunt married to my Dad's older brother, kept calling me by my Dad's name before apologising. Apparently I'm just like him and to know that, fills me with a lot of pride.

Man I've been thinking about my parents and crying for the past hour. Tbh sometimes crying feels good, but it's times like this that reveal to me that my parents are and should be the most important people in my life, cause they've done so much for me and my brothers, they sacrificed EVRYTHING for us and no one else helped or did something to us except them. I'm gonna do my best to make up for it and try to give them as much as possible, im gonna sacrifice everything for them cause they are the only people that cared and will care about me.

Father's are the people who raise you to be tough. To be considerate. To understand. They are the ones who tell you what's right from wrong. They are the ones who care for you most in the entire world. As well as the mothers. But a father is someone you believe to be strong. And they are. They are the ones that set an example for you to grow up better than them. Bigger. Brighter. More valuable. They are the ones who support you the entire way. I remember seeing my dad cry for the first time a long time ago as a kid. It was heartbreaking but heartwarming. Seeing someone. A man I look up to. Broken into tears. I will never forget that moment.

My dad left before I was 3 months, but I still love him I wish he loved me as much. Now I’m almost 22 and he beat cancer and still doesn’t care and I just want the feeling he does. It seriously hurts me

One of the most difficult things to understand in this world is a child comprehending just how much their parents love them. Unfortunately, you dont find out until you have a child of your own. Then...you understand. Thank you mom and dad!!
