Important information we provided MegaLag when he first reached out to us was left out of his video. We will not only be sharing this missing piece, but also ALL of our email correspondence, discussing our ‘relationship’ with Enchroma (correspondence included), and answering every single one of MegaLag’s questions from his emails. Being featured in MegaLag’s video has caused us to experience an onslaught of abusive messages, hate comments and spam on our channel. All we ask is to at least take the time to hear from both sides before passing judgement.

I think it is important to call out, that, hey, we have NEVER received any form of payment from them other than our affiliate link purchases. I watched his video, watched youe video, rewatched the part of the video where he talks about, and then paused and read all of the emails. I don't think Kyuho lied and i don't think the story your telling now is a lie. Everything sounds legit. But Jonathan did nothing wrong. His deadline makes sense. You could have said "Hey we're on vacation right now,we do intend to reply but can you extend the deadline until we're back". Your affiliate explanation makes sense, but his investigation made sense with the information you provided. The choice to include the affiliate snippet as you did wasn't good. If you had said "hey guys we're filming this right after shooting the first part. We're super excited, we're gonna apply for the affiliate program. If we get approved that code will be right here" or just shoot another segment after you get the confirmation. You didn't DO anything nefarious or evil, but you made a weird and not great decision to shoot the way you did. Also two emails back and forth are not ridiculous. He wasnt hounding you or being unreasonable in his requests. Had he made up his mind about Enchroma, yes absolutely. But he gave you a fair chance to explain your side of the story. Or sit down for a call. Everything you are saying now, you could have said over the phone. Also you say that his video and editing choices totally validate your choice to not communicate, but your choice to not communicate was the thing he used as evidence because you didn't answer his questions. Your answering them now and it all makes sense. But how are you gonna get mad at him for misrepresenting you when you weren't representing yourself. This video is incredibly informative. Your emails weren't.

I get what you’re saying, but at the end of the day, we didn’t owe him even one email reply. We didn’t owe emailing him ‘our entire side of the story’. Jonathon is not a licensed journalist nor a member of a legitimate press organization. He has no qualifications related to the field of journalism. After reading his emails and then finding out he’s not who he claims…we simply didn’t trust him. He’s a dude on KZfaq making videos just like we are. He’s not a journalist. That misrepresentation, along with his heavily biased and rather aggressive emails were a few too many red flags for us to continue engaging with him. Even if we had sent him everything we shared in our own video, how would we be certain he wouldn’t omit important information (like he did with our receipt/proof of purchase?) I’m no ‘investigative journalist’, but even I know that’s something that’s far too important to ‘forget’ to include. We’d likely still have to make our own video in the end regardless of what we provided him, since it was clear to us from the start he seemed to already have his mind made up about us.

@@2hearts1seoul You're right, you don't owe him or anyone an explanation. It is absolutely your right to put up your Enchroma video and just leave it there. But then why are you angry? Are you upset that he contacted you saying he was an investigative journalist (though he has no credentials or works for a news orgo) and then told a story about you? He's a content creator, just like you guys. If Enchroma responded to your affiliate request as "Thank you for your interest, but we don't work with media producers unless they are part of a recognized news organization" that would be crummy and gate keeping. Isn't the whole point of KZfaq being able to produce content that traditional media would never publish or greenlight? Like legitimately, the harassment you have suffered is ducking terrible. And yeah he definitely should have made it more clear that you provided evidence that you bought the product on your own. But to be completely fair, a screen shot of an order confirmation is not a proof of purchase. Like yeah as a lay person that probably would've been good enough for me, but they aren't the same thing and if someone pushed me on that I'd think "oh yeah i guess the proof of purchase is more legit". Like i had a warranty claim with Jabra, and i had to provide them with a screenshot of my order confirmation and then as they continued the investigation, i had to also send them a copy of the invoice. It was only after they had the invoice with all the other details, that they rejected my claim. So yeah I don't understand why you are angry. I understand that the harassment has really ducked up yer life and that's awful. I'm sorry that is happening and i hope this video alleviates that. But Jonathan didn't do anything wrong. In my opinion he doesn't need to have a certificate to do a project on KZfaq, anymore than someone needs a science or engineering degree to do a project in their backyard. Its not like he's claiming to be a medical doctor or lawyer and then giving bogus medical or legal advice.

@@SmartFool24 he decided that these glasses are a Scam and this couple willfully participated in lying to people. These are huge claims that need better research and journalistic methodology than explained. And demanding answers from strangers if you accuse them of wrongdoing is not journalism and certainly not ethical to put these specifically on blast. These questions he asked are just confimation bias. I am very critical about this uber-marketing era of the internet we are in and that's why I am not consuming Lifestyle Influencer content in general. A lot of the products Influencers promote are overpriced because of the huge Marketing Budgets. It's a huge Problem in general and it's more problematic with parasocial relationships. Yes, these glasses probably have a huge margin. So do Kylie skimpy Bikinis and Influencer make up brands. And a lot of conventional ones. But accusing someone of lying if the person had a benefit from a product is not ethical and Megalag left integrity behind to tell the Story of a "total scam" while it's obviously not black-and-white for a lot of people. I just don't want people to think this is some sort of quality research when it isn't.

I don't really care if you guys are scammers, but its a fact is these glasses do not work. It seems you don't understand what color blindness is. The human eye has cells called the cones which can understand colors. The average human eye has a 60% red sensing cones, 30% green sensing cones and 10% blue sensing cones. When you have color blindness, you have a lack of one or more of these cones. In some cases, it's just the case that your eye doesn't have as many cones as it should and in other cases your eye simply is lacking a specific color sensing cone type all together. The idea that an external pair of glasses can make up for this deficiency is fundamentally ridiculous. When you are color blind, your eye literally cannot interpret certain types of color information. Putting on a pair of glasses cannot fix that problem (or even augment the problem) just as you cannot add color to a black and white movie by putting a pane of glass over a TV screen. Your eye just doesn't have the capacity to understand the information. In the case of the black and white movie, the information doesn't exist and in the case of your eye, it might as well not exist because your eyes are responsible for converting information into a format that your brain can understand. When you have color blindness, as far as your brain knows, the color information just doesn't exist. It's like those websites they claim that you can download RAM for your computer....
@johnabbottphotography
@johnabbottphotography 6 ай бұрын
Your first problem is that you don't know that there are a number of types of color blindness. Which is shocking, because if you did the least amount of research on it you would have known this. Your second problem is in comparing putting on color filters to someone who can only see black and white . People who are deuteranomaly or protanomaly have all three colors of cones, but one of those colors has mutated slightly, and it's sensitivity overlaps too much with the other . You see, our three cones overlap a little bit, red and green more so . But in the most common types of color blindness, the red and green cones overlap a little too much. Now I understand that you think of filters as adding colors. They do not . In the case of a UV filter, it cuts back on UV rays. We don't see UV light, Although our eyes can be affected by it. What is important is that film can be affected by UV light . Which is why photographers used to put UV filters in front of their camera, so that blue skies would remain blue. Buy filtering out the UV light that overwhelms film, you get more blue. In the case of people who are the most common type of red green color blindness, the red and green overlap too much, and send confusing information to our brains our brains are constantly sorting out what colors are what, and even Auto white balancing in real time. It's a ton of information. If you add and confusion with overlapping cones, the brain doesn't know what color it is. But if you throw in a notch filter that cuts back on the point of confusion ? The brain has a much better chance of figuring out which colors are supposed to be which. Ever noticed that when people put on their enchroma glasses, they look slightly confused for a little bit? That's their brain literally sorting out colors. Figuring out different signals that are coming to it that it's never had before, an auto balancing the color in real time. Once you understand how the glasses work, it becomes completely clear why people are reacting the way that they do. But first, you have to widen your thinking, and throw out the idea that you have set filters add color.

@@johnabbottphotography I’m not quite sure why you feel the need to personally insult me in each of your comments. Yes I know which types of cones are affected by which types. But no it doesn’t, neither does megalag right now. Do you want to tell me HOW it has ‘a TON to do with everything’ in regard to this comment? So we’ve covered the two types of the color deficiencies, I’d like to discuss one more type of color vision: Trichromatism. I’m not going to say anything rude, like ‘do you even know what that is’ or ‘something you couldn’t pronounce’ because we know you could pronounce those things. You talk a lot about the notch filter, but are you aware that a notch filter is ONLY effective in humans with trichromatic vision? Which is so obvious when you think about it, because the cones themselves have the mutation, and the point of the comment you’re replying to. This is according to a study done by The Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences Center at Medical College of Wisconsin. But it’s also wholly agreed upon by the American Optometric Association, who is quoted saying “Using specially tinted eyeglasses ... can increase some people's ability to differentiate between colors, though nothing can make them truly see the deficient color.” From the results of their later study. But I’m sure that’s just because everyone who works for the AOA must be on the board for gene-therapy, right? Let alone the fact these glasses have been banned for use by pilots, and the FDA approval they talk about is for UV protection, and none of their tech? Again John, if it could do it, they would have been bought out by Essilor years ago. I don’t understand why you’re pushing an obviously false narrative, and constantly insulting color blind people personally, yet attacking anyone who says something about their personal feelings on these glasses (which you state everyone has a right to) in multiple personal ways. I hope that asking someone if they know what words mean that you pretend you can’t pronounce makes you feel smarter John. I really wish I understood what your issue was. Sources: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9576280/ www.aoa.org/healthy-eyes/eye-and-vision-conditions/color-vision-deficiency?sso=y#2 Your source is you’re an argumentative photographer, so must fully understand filters better than the American Optometric Association. 👍

If your color blind, your entire life people are explaining to you what colors different things are. So you know that grass is supposed to be green. You know that stop sign is supposed to be red. The car you drive? That's supposed to be red too. So your brain knows what colors all these things are supposed to be, but they all look the same. Now imagine as you put on the glasses, your brain starts sorting out all the colors. And as colors widen into their different categories, you realize the balloon is the same color as the grass so that must be green. And you realize the other balloon, which looks completely different is the color that you've never seen before. And you suddenly realize it's not the color of the sky, not the color of the grass, but it looks like the color of your car which is in the background right now. Get it? You're using all the references that you're bringing his built up for its entire life.

I (Sarah) have tried on his Enchroma glasses plenty of times, and as someone with normal color vision, I notice a slight pink-ish tint, but nothing obnoxious or over the top at all. I definitely notice the reds and greens are SUPER saturated when I put them on as a ‘normal vision’ person. As a color deficient person myself I can tell that all of the "emotional" videos with the glasses for color blindness are fake. Why? Those glasses are color filters that e.g. for protanopia reduces the amount of blue and green light, thus increasing the red light ratio (but not the brightness!) allowing to distinguish between some (not all) colors that look same or almost same for a protan. Overall the glasses reduce the brightness and saturation (it is just a filter, it filters out light) so the world looks less bright and colorful when you put the glasses on. So yea, you only can cry out of disappoinment, how dark and reddish the reality really is.

My thoughts exactly! I've been watching their videos for years now and Kyuho tends to be very expressive when something's funny, he's surprised, etc. When I watched the glasses video it was like I was there with them. I cried too. It was honestly nothing like that Logan Paul clip they showed from his first time trying them on. (Although I have to say I don't watch his content so I can't speak to his usual demeanour.) Anyway, when that Jonathon guy claimed Kyuho was just acting I too thought that he then should get an Oscar, because in order to fake such a genuine and tear jerking reaction you must be like the best of the best actors.

If you didn't notice, this video has more negative feedback than positive. If you want some constructive criticism, you reacted to MegaLag's video in a very defensive and emotional way. Basically, he said that he believed the product was a scam and that most of the people making reaction videos to the product were staged with falsified results. You denied the claims but failed to provide evidence to support your position. Regardless of whether or not you were compensated financially or with products for your promotion of their product (which you actually were both) what you failed to provide evidence for was that the reaction was genuine. That the glasses, in any way, shape or form, cured colour-blindness. Since he already knew this to be false, he is coming at it from a highly critical place. Even watching this pathetic (and I'll get to that later) video response, you were able to show how the glasses worked in your situation, helping to differentiate greens from reds. That's it. That's all it did and I don't know anyone that would say that helps people see new colours, or be able to differentiate between all colours. As he pointed out, Oranges and Reds appear the same, actually increasing and not reducing colour-blindness. Why I said your response was pathetic was because of apologising for being misleading, you doubled-up on being defensive. In the original video, the red-on-green became more vibrant and you showed that in the video. Genuine reaction or not, that is the absolute limit of what you were able to prove the glasses did. By showing them ONLY in their best-light, you failed to do an OBJECTIVE review of the product. Whether for convenience, forethought, or fraud, you DID prerecord a segment on the same day as your reaction to promote and sell the product and that will ALWAYS raise flags. You claim it was because you didn't want a change in scenery to throw off the tempo of the video, or whatever the reason, but honestly, having the video in your studio saying, "it's been 1 month since we recorded this video and we are so happy with the results we decided to promote the product, here's our link," would have been the better option BY FAR. You must have been in Korea for too long. Canadians apologise for EVERYTHING. That's what we do. You offended the internet and instead of apologising, you get angry. That's not going to win you any favours. Those red berries may have looked more red, but the sky is not purple. Even in this video, YOUR goal was to make MegaLag look like the bad guy who was just out to get you. All reporters work on deadlines. The deadline he gave you is standard. Everything he said to you was standard script. You chose to take it personally. You failed to discredit him because you failed to disprove anything he said. Again, you point out one of the people who admitted he scammed people and then he made another video and you're like see, this sociopathic liar ISN'T lying THIS time. Really? When people are caught in a lie and admit they lie, then how can you ever trust anything they say. That is why people question you. You failed to defend yourselves when your integrity was brought into question and instead of trying to repair the damage and beg forgiveness, you double-down and attack your attacker, failing miserably in the process. I doubt you had any malicious intent in your original video, but the product and those like it ARE a scam. By denying that and by profiting from the sales of that product, you are scamming your audience. By not showing any form of remorse or empathy for the millions of people who were scammed by this product, you vilify yourselves. Someone who is colour-blind watches your video, clicks your affiliate link, buys the glasses because YOU SAY THEY WORK, and they do nothing. You scammed that person. YOU. That's the truth about your reaction video.

I've struggled with color blindness my entire life. I’ll explain my personal experiences with colors and the Enchroma Protan Outdoor Glasses. It’s a little hard for me to speak about colors since I probably don’t know what a specific color is supposed to actually look like. I took the Enchroma color blind test on-line. Test results showed a strong deficiency in red color tone. A Red-Green color blindness called Protan. An example of what I see: Green without Enchroma glasses: Dark green trees look brown. Bright green grass looks green/orange. A bright green light looks yellow. Red without Enchroma glasses: Red is very dark and dull. I can barely see red ribbons in a dark green Christmas tree. From afar, red in traffic signs look black or very dark dull red. Blue, Pink, & Purple without Enchroma glasses: I have a hard time distinguishing between these colors. I blame my inability to see red well. If you mix red with blue, you get purple. So, blue and purple look very similar to me. Mixing red with white, makes pink. Not sure why, but pink can pass for blue or purple to me. I have a pair of Enchroma outdoor Protan glasses. The following is my personal experience when wearing the Enchroma glasses: Red with Enchroma glasses: When I first put the glasses on, I was shocked at how vibrant red was. While driving, red cars popped. Some red cars almost look bright orange. The red background in “Stop” signs really popped out. Same for the “No Right Turn” sign, the red circle and red line going through the arrow stood out. I was surprised. Green with Enchroma glasses: Sad to say, no improvement. Maybe a tiny bit. Blue, Pink, & Purple with Enchroma glasses: Little impact. These colors look a tiny bit more vibrant. But, I still can’t say if something is Blue, Pink or Purple confidently. Enchroma Color blind test results: Without Enchroma Glasses: Strong deficiency in red color tone. Red-Green color blindness called Protan. Blue 100%, Green 75%, Red 0%. With Outdoor Enchroma Protan Glasses: Strong deficiency in green color tone. Red-Green color blindness called Duetan. Blue 100%, Green 37%, Red 75%. Summary: For me personally, the Enchroma glasses did not cure my color blindness 100%. But, I do like the glasses because it makes red so much more vibrant. I can now understand why red is used in signs and other things meant to grab someone's attention.

I have a similar condition. Your description of colors mostly matches mine, but I think my red is not that dull, call me a moderate Protan. From me, dark green is indistinguishable from brown, grass could pass for creamy orange, and bright green lights are yellowish to me. I also have a hard time telling blue apart from purple (blame red deficiency), and dull pink almost looks like grey. Pure reds I can tell they are reds (stop signs, coke cans), but they are not as bright to me as people say red actually is. What you are describing as the effect of your enChroma glasses on you perfectly matches the effect of my 15 dollar brownish-red-tinted sunglasses: red cars are almost bright orange, as well as stop signs, I can distinguish SOME different kind of foliage (more reddish, yellowish or different kind of greens that I couldn't tell apart naturally), but I definitely have no general improvement over greens or purples. So, at least to this particular condition, seems like enChroma glasses perform no much better that normal tinted shades.

That one autumn/winter when there was the massive rainfall and flooding, I remember it was that season or the one before you did one with Vessi and you really proved they were waterproof and I thought to myself "they really went further than most creators I've seen with such sponsorships and they showed what I as a person would want to test out". Honestly, what’s more probable…that one dude on KZfaq wanted to make a rage bait video, or every single person who has tried Enchroma glasses over the last 10+ years and uploaded videos of their positive experiences are all liars or in on some ‘scam’? As for the science part, this KZfaqr does an incredible job dismantling MegaLag’s lack of knowledge on the topic, and how he used studies that were compromised: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/etJlotSIrdOxaJ8.htmlsi=aAhicy_5FgsGVAzY

@@aeyempire There aren't "tens of thousands" of folks with videos that say that they don't work... but Enchroma, itself, says that it can help folks with the two most common types of color blindness. If you don't have one of those types, it can't help you. Its a logical fallacy to say that if the majority of folks say that it works, but some portion say that it doesn't, then it doesn't work for anyone? Explain your logical progression there? MegaLag bought forward two studies to support his case that they don't work. The first study, the University Of Grenada study, used a majority of folks who were Protanopia (no red cones) and deuteranopia (no green cones). They are two categories that Enchroma cannot help, and the folks who ran the study knew that. So why would you have a MAJORITY of study participants that you knew would not benefit from the glasses? The second study, “Effects of Color Enhancing Glasses on Color Vision in congenital red-green color deficiencies”, was co-authored by Jay and Maureen Neitz. Jay & Maureen had a patent pending on gene therapy to "fix" color blindness when they authored that study, but did not disclose that they had a patent. Those are the "experts" that you're citing. Do you want me to keep going?

Out of curiosity, did he score a mild, moderate or strong Deutan on enchroma's test?" And then today, on this video, he comments that he's been researching this topic for 5 months after once again accusing Kyuho of exaggerating his reaction, saying, "the experience isn't as magical as you've portrayed it." Seems to me that this dude engaged with your content in bad faith from the start, 5 months ago. Leaving a falsely sincere comment when his entire objective was to accuse Sarah and Kyuho of scamming their audience says a lot about his character.

@@thomgizzizMy comment was tongue-in-cheek. I don't think I need to explain myself to you, but since this is a chill channel because Sara and Kyuho are chill people, I'll be nice. In a nutshell, I really don't think MegaLag did the necessary research and testing to upload a video of this nature. He conveniently left out information that would make covering the topic more balanced. In my opinion, MegaLag's whole piece was rage bait and a 'hot take,' which is defined as a "piece of deliberately provocative commentary that is based almost entirely on shallow moralizing in response to a news story, usually written on tight deadlines with little research or reporting, and even less thought." In my opinion, the OP's research is far and away more fair than that of the heavily biased MegaLag. I'm sure you don't agree, but frankly, I don't care. I have been subscribed to 2hearts1seoul for years. I've seen Kyuho wear several pairs of EnChroma glasses in footage created after his first reaction video, sans "#enchroma" or any mention of affiliate links or ads. They're really wonderful people who take care of neighborhood cats, show the beauty of the country of Korea (and the world, for that matter) by taking us along on their travels, and they just aren't the money-hungry, shady people MegaLag implies. So yeah, I think the OP was a better investigator than MegaLag. Again, I don't need your approval of my decision to back Sara and Kyuho, nor will I change my mind. I saw that video & was shocked by it. Even more shocking was the comments reinforcing the video's comment (except for mine). I have a different firsthand experience. According to tests, I am not colorblind, but the glasses provide enhanced vision for me, increasing color but also enhancing contrast. The eye doctor seems a bit confused. He refers to "Chromagen" as being the same as Enchroma? Enchroma is unique in using the "notch filter". All the others (Chromagen, Pilestone, Vino Optics, Colorlite), work by suppressing the green relative to red. This causes reds & greens to look different, but only in brightness. In appearance, the glasses look red or purple. While this allows one to see Ishihara plates, it destroys white balance & does not produce true red/green sensation. The "indoor glasses" that Logan Paul was using is Enchroma's "CX-65" indoor lens. This lens was the "weakest" lens that Enchroma made (now discontinued). This lens was much less tinted than the indoor Grayson glasses you have. Several other people noted that the CX-65 lens didn't give him the greens, but was satisfied with the darker-tinted lens. The lens he is using in video is CX25, darker, but still not as dark as the sunglass you have. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/q9OGe7l0lbe-lmQ.html Just wait, & the untruthfulness of the opposing channel will come out eventually.

Hi guys! I just saw what that MegaLag posted about Kyuho's colorblind experience. Did he even get consent from you both before he shared it on his channel? Perhaps you guys can get some legal advise looking at how upset you both are from his posting and how this guy is trying to slander Kyuho about his colorblindness. There is such thing as Cyber defamation law in Korea and it is treated as a tort (meaning a civil case where you sue him for compensation). Keep in mind, as long as MegaLag has that post up, it continues to slander you guys by the "day". I posted on his site mentioning cyber defamation law. The longer he keeps that post up, it can equal more compensation. The wise thing for MegaLag to do is to take down the post immediately. Your evidence trail has been your vlogs that I just viewed. You guys wasted your time trying to correct any falsehoods that guy posted against you and you guys couldn't eat, sleep which affected your mental status and health and prevented further work on your usual contents. I hope you guys will look into legal advice. I used to be low keyed as well until I sued my former employer (a very large entity) and reached a settlement. It looks like Kyuho just may have a good case and your vlogs are your evidence. In my case, my e-mails was my evidence. I always told myself that I would hate to see people in my shoes when you've done nothing wrong. Little did people know the low keyed me opened up pandoras box for 55,000 employees and management had to be retrained. My settlement was small but my message was taken seriously. To be honest the second part of this video has a lot more investigation than the one that guy Jonathon made. I agree with you, nothing you said was ever going to satisfy that guys “curiosity” because he had already decided on a subject for his video and was not willing to include anything that didn’t fit his narrative. You guys keep doing you! Love your content!

Sara and Kyuho, I just finished speaking with KZfaq creator support. They said you can submit a copyright removal request in order to have MegaLag's video removed or demonetized for using your footage without permission, if you haven't already done so. I'm sure you're tired of this whole thing but I think it's worth a shot. At the very least, he could upload his piece again without the portion that includes your video and testimonials.

@@buffy4525 Nope, it's fair use. I understand the meaning and in fact it states straight from KZfaq that fair use constitutes, "Works that create new meaning for the source material may be considered fair use.". I would say that a video critiquing someone else's material would fall under that. You may not like it, but it's fair use.

This is such an annoying situation. Being falsely accused is mentally exhausting. People need to hear both sides of a story before passing judgment. I'm sorry you guys were attacked online because of that misleading video! Reading his emails is hilarious. He disguises his hostility with professional looking emails. You can't call yourself an investigative journalist when you fail to actually investigate the facts and ignore the truth.

I just watched his video, and its infuriating. Its a guy who doesn't even grasp that there are several types of colorblindness... and that if he doesn't have the specific type of color blindness that this corrects, he will literally see things worse. Its so stupid.

Do you know how colorblindness works? Colorblindness means you don't have some receptors in your eyes that are responsible for seeing certain colors. Putting on a pair of glasses won't help because you are still lacking those receptors. It's impossible for you to see colors you don't have receptors for.
@johnabbottphotography
@johnabbottphotography 8 ай бұрын
@@to-mi1949 First of all, I made the exact same mistake as you did. So I have to ask you to listen just a tiny bit, and pretend like maybe you don't know what you think you know. And I say that, because I didn't. First - understand that color is all about perception. Our brain is taking the data from those three "tuned" color receptor cones in our eyes, and changing that into the data that we see as color. Second, understand that the glasses are a filter. The can either be blocking filters (letting through only one kind of light) or exclusionary filters (letting through all light, except for one tiny part of the spectrum), which we might think of as a notch filter. There are certain kinds of colorblindness. ONE of those types is when you don't have the color cones of that color (red / green / blue, for sake of simplicity). But the most common type is where the color receptors don't sit on the spectrum where they are supposed to be. They all overlap just a tiny bit. But imagine, now, that you have two color receptors that are overlapping more than they are supposed to. So instead of getting the data of "green" or the data of "red", you get both data at the same time... which your brain interprets as a brown. Get it? Now imagine that there was a way to cut out that area where the receptors overlap too much. Where you could stop the confusion of those two sensors overlapping? Like... if you could create some kind of a... notch filter... that would block mostly the color in that area where they overlap? Your brain would be able to better interpret all of the colors. Because the "confusion" area is greatly reduced. That's what Enchroma lenses to. They reduce the light in the area that would normally confuse your eyes.
