MAXIMUM #Wildflowers on the long gulch to Kenosha pass trail section of the Colorado trail. This trek occurred around July 26 2021. I went into this #backpacking section knowing very few native #Colorado flower species, but came out being able to identify a dozen or so. In the mean time, Enjoy the mountain views, spectacular scenery and the sounds of the trail as usual. I throw in my usual banter. How Lost Creak wilderness got its name. Identifying wildfire vs severe thunderstorm blowdowns. I cook and eat a nice filet steak. All the words for flowing water. Hiking near a thunderstorm. Colorado's bipolar drought situation.

Great little trip! Another one for flowing water: Babbling Brook! Amazed to see so many similar wildflower species to the UK, Daisies, Dandelions, Wild Roses, Foxgloves, Bluebells, Harebells, Wild Orchids, Yarrow were the ones I could recognise.

amazing to see Birch growing wild like that.. here is South Australia they won't grow at all without irrigation and even then they struggle, just too hot n dry. We're coming out of winter but I'm worried about summer 😶 I love these relaxing vids 👍🏼

Until i posted this video and someone else brought that one to my attention I had no idea that was a thing. I assumed it was just a brand name!

Michael, worth noting that those bacon wrapped steaks that are wrapped like that are meat glued together. Best not to screw around with those.

Not worried. I eat something like this like once every… year maybe? The bacon wasn’t even stuck very well so I’m not even sure they used it on this one.

@@scienceoutthere hopefully they didn’t. I get stuck with Costco tenderloins and they work fine for me, but you do need the freezer space which sucks
