Video of some of the bear encounters reported in 2020. We received 4,943 bear reports in 2020 and 1,661 (33.6 percent) had trash documented. Trash is not the only problem leading to human-bear conflicts. Bird feeders (411 reports), unsecured chicken coops (254) and livestock (391), among others, are all pieces of the puzzle wildlife officials document when tracing conflicts.

That Castle Rock bear at 1:51 is definitely being fed. A fed bear is a dead bear, as they say.

In the state of Colorado Bear pop. estimated @17 to 20K.. Cougars estimated @3 to 7K.. Please help protect our wildlife heritage....& btw Thanks to whoever choose the musical score .....

Wow that nice home comes with a porch bear. The music in this video should be jaws. Just wait till y’all ad wolves to the mix and they drive the mountain lions more in to private homes

:46 that guy had some balls doin that stunt! I'm a FedEx driver in alma/fairplay Colorado, and I got within ten feet with one today...at first I thought it was a very large man with a fur jacket lifting up his trashcan 😆 turned out it was giant black bear that was very hungry and maan You don't want to go toe to toe with that beast! Awesome day, luckily I was still in my truck at the time😅

Yep years ago I used to hunt in Colorado and the old rancher that owned the land we hunted on asked us to shoot any bear we came across due to his cattle getting eaten on regular basis.

The species is a black bear but Colorado bears hair often turns brown

We absolutely NEED to reintroduce Grizzly bears back into the San Juans. This state has been missing its key large bear for WAY too long. It needs to return to its glory days once again.

Here's the deal bear in Colorado have no natural enemies if you didn't have a hunting season they would over populate ! You would have bears in the suburbs of Denver. The only predator a black bear might have would be a grizzly. No grizzly for several hundred miles.

Uhhhh, I saw a wolf pack on a ridge ascend down and through a creek bottom in 2001. Have photos of the nine of them. No doubt what they were.

@@donnaparrish7638 their are coyotes in places of California that hunt and live in packs… if other coyote packs are found in Montana or the dakotas… it is probably because they have more wolf in them…. It’s definitely believable Colorado has had coyote wolf hybrid packs more likely in the southern half of the state…
