3:13 Symptoms of Colorectal Polyps
3:45 Diagnosis of Colorectal Polyps
4:19 Treatment of Colorectal Polyps
A colorectal polyp is a polyp (fleshy growth) occurring on the lining of the colon or rectum.[1] Untreated colorectal polyps can develop into colorectal cancer.[2]
Colorectal polyps are often classified by their behaviour (i.e. benign vs. malignant) or cause (e.g. as a consequence of inflammatory bowel disease). They may be benign (e.g. hyperplastic polyp), pre-malignant (e.g. tubular adenoma) or malignant (e.g. colorectal adenocarcinoma).
Colorectal polyps are not usually associated with symptoms.[2] When they occur, symptoms include bloody stools; changes in frequency or consistency of stools, such as a week or more of constipation or diarrhoea;[3] and fatigue arising from blood loss.[2] Anemia arising from iron deficiency can also present due to chronic blood loss, even in the absence of bloody stools.[3][4] Another symptom might be increased mucous production especially those involving villous adenomas.[4] Copious production of mucous causes loss of potassium that can occasionally result in symptomatic hypokalemia.[4] Occasionally, if a polyp is big enough to cause a bowel obstruction, there may be nausea, vomiting and severe constipation.[3]

At age 46 I was diagnosed with 56 tumors with the largest as big as a grapefruit. No symptoms, was caught on a routine exam by a Wonderful doctor. Went thru 7 months of chemo after 4 feet of colon removal called a resection. I was given 3-5 years but still going well after 8 yrs. every year they take out 13-28 more polyps. Just a maintenance, no big deal guys. Good luck!! Feel free to ask questions:)

I’m an active woman in 40s and asked for a colonoscopy and I already have polyps and need to repeat the exam again. I don’t drink or smoke. I don’t eat red meat. I’ve already cut a lot of rice and bread in my diet. I am not prediabetic and take no medicine. I can likely increase my vegetable and fruit intake. I probably get 3 -5 servings but not every day. Some days you don’t have time to eat or cook much…. I’m seeing younger people with these issues. It’s a conundrum. Get tested early!

Thank you. I’ve heard you need to avoid processed food to prevent cancer. How do you do that in this day and age unless you live on a farm and raise and grow your own food? All food in stores have been processed in some way in order for you to get it. Because it says it’s fresh doesn’t mean it’s fresh, it’s been touched and manipulated in some way. Too much of anything is not good. Just eat in moderation as much as you can. Someone mentioned read meats are bad. Maybe so, especially if you eat it red and still bleeding.

My cousin Austin dealt with this shit years ago, and no, he’s not 50, he’s like in his 20’s or 30’s. This cancer is starting become a serious problem in this world. Because I need to be very careful of myself. I have to prevent this shit from happening or else my life is over, permanently. My mother and my aunt could’ve gotten this because they’re above the age of 50 already, my mother is 59, and my aunt is 58. They’re still alive.

I had a endoscopy today ,the prep yday was awful started it at 1pm and sat on the loo waiting as fidnt k how how quick it would work got thru the 4 glasses of the first and expelled so much until 5 pm ,I didnt want to move as everytime I thought about getting up more came out,i was freezing needed hit water bottles brought to me and a blanket, my legs and butt was numb from sitting g do long, had a banging headache, finally laid down for a bit at 5.30pm before starting the next sachet at 7pm then started all over again with next lot of vile stuff lol I was so hungry ,finally finished at 11 pm and got a bath and into bed. Well thrh done the procedure I said i would just have gas and air to start with and sedation if I needed it,I thought they would give me the gas and air first before starting anything but he just started ,it was so painful they gave me the gas and air then that wasn't enough I was in agony and crying and my heart rate went crazy and was hyperventilating, they gave my sedation and carried on. Found a few polyps and removed them. I'm si glad it all over felt like an ordeal last 2 days. My advice is just get the sedation straight away and ask for the gas and air before they start going In.

Glad you are OK they asked me if I wanted gas and air and sedation I said no because with the sedation you can still feel the pain I asked for buscapan but the person who was giving it said I don't like using it as it make your heart go funny and she said that's freaks me out I told her the worst part for me is the bowl prep that is 100 percent nasty i one done at Royal Salford they give me 4 high strength senna and the bowl prep that nearly put my lights out for good lol the only person I would give to is a child fidler that they gave me could take the paint of your doors in your house or your car never again I now have to have a camera down my throat I have about 15 of them I rather have the camera up the other end and the person doing ask why the other end you don't gag going up the back end I get put out with fentanyl and midazolam and spray then I am out not asleep its good stuff

Great Video clip! Forgive me for the intrusion, I am interested in your thoughts. Have you thought about - Yenamilla Sniffing Reformed (probably on Google)? It is an awesome one off product for curing nasal polyps permanently and naturally minus the headache. Ive heard some awesome things about it and my work colleague after many years got amazing results with it.

I've done it twice and it's a non-event. They have you count down from 10, you blink, and the next thing you know you are in a different room and they are telling you you are done. It's easy.

@@SI-ln6tc yeah I'm not saying that but I'm saying it there could be numerous reasons why they have cancer it could run in their family it could be genetic I mean just to pinpoint it on smoking I mean I would like to know what other factors so you have a healthy person that doesn't have a family history of cancer doesn't smoke and gets cancer honestly I just think when it's your time to go it's your time to go

When you inhale, the tobacco enters the bloodstream through your lungs and then to the rest of your body. Every cell, in every organ of your body is exposed to the tobacco you are inhaling all day long, 24/7 & 365. After years of tobacco abuse, damage is likely to occur. Some people are more predisposed than others for certain cancers. A family friend was a heavy smoker and drinker. He suffered for about 3 years with colon, liver, and kidney cancer. He eventually died in his prime, at 48 years old, leaving behind a wife and 4 young children. My mother was a heavy smoker (2-3 packs per day) for 45 years. She quit smoking at 62 years old, but she did a lot of damage all those years. She first had lung cancer diagnosis at 79 years old, had surgery (for tumor removal) and went through chemo. She was cancer free for 6 years. The cancer returned after 6 years, but this time it had spread throughout her entire left lung and, of course, inoperable. She died at 85 years old. While 85 is considered old, she was otherwise healthy, without any other illness. No high blood pressure or diabetes, just the cancer. She probably would have lived to be 100 years old, because she was a very strong woman and was active all her life. So don't be fooled into thinking smoking is not the cause of cancer, because it is. It shortens your life, unnecessarily. Thinking otherwise is just being in a state of denial to justify your habit.
