Great video Jordy! You did so well coloring on camera with us! She looks fantastic! I have Tombow water-based markers I don't know why I have never tried using a water brush with them! I will have to do so! I too get nervous when I start backgrounds! I feel your pain!😅I think the only way is to practice like you said. Honestly, I think your background will turn out beautifully! Especially when you add the gel pens and such to the stars to tie it all together. You did wonderful! I'm looking forward to the next part!

Hi Jordy, When doing backgrounds with the Neo ll's, I always put a lot of pigment down too, I don't like streaks, and I always use pencil over the Neo ll's. Your background looks fabulous! Your background actually smoothed out quite well. I will admit I avoid my Neocolors because of this patchy look I often get. I don't know if it is that my brush is too small (or just that I have the wrong brush in general), or that I am using too little pigment the first go around, or if its my technique, but I still haven't quite figured out how to best use Neocolor. I also feel like the more layers, the more water - and my pages end up horribly crinkled. The pigment has even seeped through to the page behind in the past (too much water)??. This is another issue I seem to have, so as I say, I have avoided using them. I hate that too, because I want to use them. I have seen so many gorgeous works with them. I need to look for more tutorials on using them in coloring books and keep trying. I just hate to ruin my pages and the pages behind them. Thanks for sharing your lovely page!
