This is my favourite technique when it comes to drawing flowers with coloured pencils. This technique gives unique and vibrant results. Guaranteed a success every time!
In this tutorial I used a stamped image as it is in collaboration with a test I did in order to find differences in quality between certain brands of pencils. For the (rather surpsrising) results please check out: www.bangocraftz.com/#!coloured...
You can find a complete list of materials and more inspiration on my website: www.bangocraftz.com
I hope you enjoyed the video. Please give it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel.

My first time seeing this video and it was amazing! I throughly enjoyed watching her teach. I thought that it would be boring because the music was so soft. I thought my gosh I hope that I don’t fall asleep. Guess what?! I didn’t. Thanks for the time that you took to illustrate the technique of blending using color pencils! I feel more confident about my coloring skills.

These are lovely and your music choice is so refreshing, such a nice change from the usual raucous "melodies" some of the younger set choose.

It is a quilting cutting board, you can find it in the sewing/quilting department of your local craft shop. You can cut on it or use it to protect your crafting surface, but it is not made to be ironed on. Hope this helps!! 😀

Do you use this same technique on smaller flowers as well or only larger flowers? Thank you.
@DeesCardsandCrafts
@DeesCardsandCrafts 8 жыл бұрын
it really depends. I always try to use more than one colour to make it look more dimensional. but I don't always use this technique. for very small tiny objects is probably not going to work. but you can try and let me know :)

lol that is the question I forgot to answer in the video. I usually just use a light to medium colour that compliments the rest of the flower. you can use solids, shading or stippling - as the moods strikes :)

Chrissy Morin you can do either. the main focus of the video were the petals. the video was shot while i was doing a comparison between different brands of pencils which you can find on the website. the centre was really more of an afterthought to be honest with you :)

Did you know that instead of saying a soft blue or I am using a darker blue,Faber castell actually name their colours.I might be an idea that you say the exact colour,I have Faber Castel pencils that is how I know they are named.
@DeesCardsandCrafts
@DeesCardsandCrafts 8 жыл бұрын
yes I did know that. but not everyone has Faber-Castell pencils. so I think using the shade of colour instead of the name is more beneficial to a wider range of viewers. a list of the pencils that I used is in the description box.
