Solo Stealth Camping in a Creepy Cabin | Closed for the Season

Camping closed for the season in October and I’ve always wanted to stay in one of these old, rustic cabins.. or so I thought. Some of the cabins here are unlocked and some are padlocked, so one random and very rainy day I decided to try camping out in one.
I could not relax at all and felt like a caged animal or sitting duck for lack of a better term. This type of camping is not for me and I will choose to tent camp in the woods for my next overnight campout. Being able to see my surroundings is a must for my anxiety and being shut in one of these wooden boxes wreaked havoc on my mind.
I’ve camped in an abandoned resort before and it felt safer than being here in this cabin.

Im planning another solo camp out but this time in a tent in the woods… should be interesting for sure. The winter blues are real, so many people deal with it. Hope you pull out of it soon. I think ill be out of it after January, lol.. hopefully. Always appreciate you my friend ☺️💜

Hey Marlo! I also wake up around 330is every night. I think it has a lot to do with the timing that we eat, or what we eat late in the day. I also used to get the winter blues until I started taking 6-8000 IUs of vitamin D3 in the mornings. I feel SO MUCH BETTER! It took a few weeks, but I'm so glad I tried it! Take care.

That cabin looks great to stay in.!! Didn't see any wood piled for a wood stove, Hope you brought a propane heater to get the coolness down. When cabin closed up, it'll get cooler inside. Sun will heat it up, during the day, if opened up some. I'd piled all those mats, off the beds, onto one to sleep on. Good idea using one table to cook on and use as a coffee table. You doing good girl!

I don't like fall or winter. Spring is promising but a lot of times it's still cold and windy but Summertime is my favorite time. I wake up at 3 in the morning too. I don't drink anymore so I started getting old pretty quick. I go to bed about 8 pm and sleep about 5 or 6 hours until the old bladder wakes me up. Today I'm enjoying an off day in my recliner covered with a quilt and watching videos. Marlo I hope we all aquire so much money this year that we can take the control of our lives and time back. You could have used a little cognac to keep you warm and cheerful. 😄👍

I used to loathe winter but I’m trying to like it, it’s that old “can’t beat em so may as well join em” mentality. Looking forward to Spring for sure. Never tried cognac but a coors light may have taken the edge off ☺️ hope you enjoyed your day off in the recliner 🙌🏻 Health & Happiness friend.

Cool stealth camp! Enclosed spaces definitely make me more nervous too. I try to scope out my stealth camp spots before I go. I have just winged it before, but rarely. Well except the roof tops. I do not know exactly what to expect until I get up on them, lol. Really enjoying your channel.

I didn’t know I’d feel so trapped in here. I hated it… like you said, too enclosed. Glad you said you scope things out first.. I wish more KZfaqrs would say they researched a spot first as there are people out there who watch them and then go out blind thinking they can go out and copy what they see and could end up hurt or in a dangerous situation or arrested. I’m definitely not a fan of the time change either.. I am miserable and feel like a prisoner for a few months, as I can’t see to drive at night… my exploring stops till the days are longer. Very depressing. I carry Dude Wipes for when I have to do my “business” I don’t go out without them! Thanks for taking us along with you!

Hey Marlo! Nice place to stealth camp! I wouldn't be uneasy about camping in something like that as long as I could secure the door somehow. I agree with the idea of checking it out thoroughly before camping to make sure it doesn't happen to be a well-known location to locals. I also agree about your choice of themes for entertainment under those circumstances! It's surprising what a difference geographical location makes in the length of day. Your local sunset there is almost an hour and twenty minutes earlier than here. You wouldn't think there would be that big a difference on the same coast. Call me weird if you want, but I've never had any problems with winter blues. I rather enjoy the longer nights. I have more trouble sleeping during the longer days of summer than I do during the winter. The cooler temps help too! I enjoy hiking, urbexing, and driving at night. I'm a nightowl 🦉and always have been! This was a great stealth camp! I'm glad to have come along with you! I really enjoyed it! That was some cool random stuff at the end too! Im definitely a night owl but I can’t take it getting pitch black by 4:30pm Less daylight really does affect my mind/mood/motivation. I didn’t like this cabin or maybe it’s because I could not see out, im not sure but it felt off in here.. maybe my own mind idk. Next campout will be in a tent out in the woods somewhere.. I think that will be more up my alley, lol. Im looking ahead and forward to the New Year and hope you have a Happy, Healthy one as well my friend ☺️

I find women's feelings about locations, people, or situations to be pretty accurate. While it may have been your mind, it could also have been you warning you of something or someone. Most of 2023 wasn't great for me, so I'm looking forward to the New Year too. I hope yours finds you happy and healthy too! 🙂

Im not a camping type of person to begin with but I know I would not be able to stay there even in nice weather and if so, I would have to have my daughter with me or someone else. Thanks for another great video!! I do not like this time either. It gets dark in the middle of the afternoon. I keep hoping for permanent daylight savings time. I also get the winter blues. Living in South Carolina, we don't get hardly any snow so on days that the temps are in the 50's i ride my motorcycle. That helps me deal with winter. As for your creepy feeling, always trust your gut. Maybe that cabin was haunted?

Having an outlet to try and combat these feelings is key. Permanent daylight savings time makes sense, we don’t need to be changing clocks anymore. Im sure riding the motorcycle frees your soul for a few and it’s a good feeling to have. Thank you for checking this out and commenting how you deal with the winter blues. Much appreciated ☺️

I wouldn't sleep well in there, gotta be completely comfortable then again I'm a horrible sleeper in general. Good on ya for braving it, and yes, winter, and getting dark at 4:30 SUCKS. its summer here currently (NZ) but I just got my eldest daughter a SAD lamp.... she struggles with the change of weather in the south of NZ, because it does get quite overcast and cold down here. She is used to Brisbane Australia weather, high temps. Apparently, they help with the winter months. Love seeing this video. looking forward to future vids. i used to hike (not camp as such) and am hoping to get back into it, take the kids and stay in one of the huts in the South Island NZ :)

Hey.. nice to “see” you my friend. New Zealand is absolutely beautiful. I get to see some of the area through another camping channel I watch… AB Camping. This guy Tony and his dog Bruno travel around to beautiful spots in NZ. The winter blues are a real thing and a mental game on a daily basis.. being out hiking or camping helps me.. or just being out in nature helps unclog my brain of negativity.
