This movie is so immaculately shot, it's gorgeous.

not going to lie. i was hoping it was a video of architecture references (i still haven't been able to find half the people they mentioned), but this is great too.

Thomas Melatonin Columbus native here. Which areas were you wondering about?

Okay! At about 35 minutes into the movie (if you have a copy of it handy, because why wouldn't you?), Jin and Casey are standing by a stream and Casey is describing a building in front of them that juts over the small river as a hospital walkway or wing. Is that really what that building is? And Jin mentions the architect of that particular building, which sounds something like "Paul Scheck" but I haven't been able to find anything out about him. Is that a real architect? It's kinda been driving me crazy because why would the director make up just one architect's name? Have you visited all the locations in the film: Miller house, Cleo Rogers Library, etc? Sorry it that's too many questions, or if I'm somehow abusing the very generous offer you've extended...

Hey so I can access the movie on Hulu but I know what you're talking about. That's Quinco Mental Health Center-my grandma used to work there during nights. I can't remember what it is now, I'll ask my parents in the morning. It appears that the architect is James Stewart Polshek. To be honest, Quinco is one of the only places I wasn't that familiar with. But yeah, I've been to most of the other places. I've gone to First Christian Church my whole life and my mom works there. Various friends have worked at the library over the years and I love it. In fact, I currently have an internship with the Columbus Area Arts Council and we just have a birthday party on the library plaza for Henry Moore, the artist that created the Large Arch. I believe I've been to the Miller House, but it's been a while-I've been meaning to go back. Ask anything else, but I'll leave you with this tidbit: you know the place with the lights where Casey always goes? Yeah, like no one could figure out where the hell it was. It's just a bank of the eastish side of town. It's between a commercial Italian restaurant, a goodwill, a former custard stand, and a movie theater. It's like the least expected place, but Kogonada made it gorgeous. Anything else?
