Join our weekly Combat Check-In Newsletter (www.combatstory.com/newsletter) to get a short email from Ryan for people who love and support our veterans, service members, and their families. It has info on a significant event in military and/or intel history, a funny military joke, an update on a current event I'm following, something I'm doing that week in my life, a book I'm reading, a look at an upcoming interview, a reflection on a past episode and more!
Jack Murphy is an Army Special Operations veteran who served as a Sniper and Team Leader in 3rd Ranger Battalion and as a Senior Weapons Sergeant in 5th Special Forces Group, fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Since leaving the military, he’s broken stories on defense and special operations topics around the world as an investigative journalist, co-founded the website SOFREP, wrote four military fiction novels and a memoir, and now writes for Connecting Vets and hosts the podcast The Team House (kzfaq.info/love/XFK....
He nearly died in uniform, has been smuggled across international borders, was detained by a foreign intelligence service, met Bashar al-Asad in Syria, and more. Here's where you can find him:

No, Murphy has sold himself out, he is ego. He and his buddy, also a sell out of his own peer group, Brandon Webb. They personify all that's wrong with trying to socially engineer the military. Scumbag. And yes, I'm an Army guy. See for yourself. Not an honorable guy. Just like his buddy Webb

@@austinluna4091 LOL, no they don't Austin. They harm it more than anything because they've both been busted lying not only about their own military records, which were impressive enough; but they both embellished. Strike 1. Strike 2, they make up more shit and shit on their own peers than they do before they even fart in the wind in the direction of doing something positive. They ONLY write stories that increases their popularity. Finally, I've spoken with them both, and along with a group of military peers, we've got in their faces about the bullshit that they spew. The fact that you do not know any of this says everything needed to know about what you know of these guys. They're garbage, and yes, I've said it to their faces. Just like a LOT of other Navy and Army guys have TO THEIR FACES. I appreciate that you want to defend them, but dude, you OBVIOUSLY do not know them, or their work. Ex. Jack Murphy, in his urge to align with the "woke" told NBC that the Ranger Regiment is racist, and that "systemic racism" is built into the Regiment. Do you think the Regiment is racist? Why don't you ask people in the Regiment. It's NOT racist, not even close. But Jack, lied to the main stream media and said that it is, and for what? Fame and media favor. It's a fact brother. If you're not in the community, then go read what the SOF communist thinks of these two.

Excellent interview with Jack Murphy, for me a change of perspective from being interviewed by him myself recently on his own podcast, "The Team House". Good to get his own story, and an interesting one it certainly is. The real deal for sure, the new generation of veterans, and he has (as the saying goes) "walked the walk". Great series, truly interesting group of diverse interviewees.

Marine hype really does well. Army statistically wins shooting contests and are first in most every war by far. Yet people think due to movies and hype they are tops. Kinda like SEALS compared to way way better Green Berets and or Delta Force. Infact. Army Rangers have captured and killed way more HVTs than any other unit. But Army is very tight lipped about what Army does.
