Raising sheep requires multiple tasks that involve working and treating each individual ewe, ram or lamb at various times throughout their life. We have been completing these various tasks with the use of gates, hog panels and DIY Headgate. By investing in a complete handling system for sheep is an investment for both the worker and the animal.
We choose to include a holding pen and alleyway, which leads into a combi clamp that has load bars to allow each animal to be weighed and ear tag scanner prior to be released through a 3-way sorter. This sorter allows for simple seperating and grouping the flock.
The full set up took us approximately 2 hours to complete.
