Fun fact, one of the commentators (Kai Kennedy) is also the voice actor for Beowulf. He has been doing Commentator work for skullgirls at combo breaker for years.

It's a mostly balanced game with a small roster, but enough variety to suit the majority of players.

@Dave Skullgirls is very well balanced those characters were made because the creator of SG and the head artist *Who's a woman I should add* like adding as many fun and unique characters as they see fit. Skullgirls went years with only female characters and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in support to keep getting updated. Only a loving fanbase would have kept this game alive for so long not angry men who only care for how many men or women are in the roster. We love the art we love the mechanics and they can add any characters they see fit.

It's okay, but there are flaws in it. Both characters do have poor reversals if read, and in Beo's case if he doesn't have his chair then he's going to be eating a ton of chip damage. Big Band is large and is more open to instant jumping overheads, so if the opponent takes him out first then Beo is kinda struggling on his own.

Let me just mash my quarter circle level 1 supers that are fully invincible and travel fullscreen while also being huge enough to anti air. Maybe I'll go nuts with the multiple hits of Super Armor on all of their huge moves. I could also just DP and convert meterlessly into unga damage unlike most characters. If they block something thats minus, just do a delayed super to threaten insane counterhit damage, so many good defensive options :) You cant pretend that those "flaws" you listed are even worth noting when compared to how braindead easy Beo and Band are to play effectively, especially when compared to other characters in terms of damage and neutral. If you play BeoBand you would be delusional to not admit that they are obnoxiously good and that you play them because its really damn easy to jump around while calling Brass/A train. But sure, Big Band is big so that definitely balances out how stupid he is and makes him an honest character, lmao.

But... you know how stupidly slow are Big Band's long range attacks, right? You just block these and do punish with any combo you want. I mean... sure, it's a great character damage and range-wise... but it is also a big, slow target. Beo is similar but not as heavily geared in this one direction. My point is... just block it, damnit. And when they try to throw... well, why are you even standing here after blocking an easily punishable attack anyways?
