I wanted to recommend “Into the Wilderness” by Sara Donati. It’s a family saga in 6 books. The romance in book 1 has been so beautiful and the whole story has been excellent. It’s a long book but I’m happy to have found such a gem. I had been on a romance slump to the point that I had two DNF reads back to back. Nothing was clicking and I needed a well written story. And then I found “Into the wilderness.”

💙💙💙I love Dickens also. Started my son on the Dickens journey. He is reading A Tale of Two Cities. I would always read A Christmas Carol every year to him starting December 1st, when he was little. I read fantasy as well. Love it💙💙💙looking forward to see where the new year takes your channel!

I totally get ya. Adult fantasy just has all the things! I'm currently DEVOURING 'Fourth Wing' and it is my new obsession...I'm infatuated. I'm about 75% through and I had to make myself put on the brakes a bit because I don't want it to end! Thank you for taking us along. I live in an area where bookstores are nowhere around so I love tagging along to bookstore videos 💙

A friend went to London and got me "The Will of the Many" for Christmas, she told me that she only found this copy, hidden at Foyle's and that a shop assistant at Waterstones had told her the copy was there, otherwise she wouldn't have found it. She was also looking for a hardcover copy of "The Children of Gods..." for herself and she didn't find any copy... I don't know what's going on with hardcovers these days.

I have the Priory of the Orange Tree is on my 2024 TBR. I have read all of the Bone Season series that is out, it's such an interesting read...its very different IMO than any of the traditional fantasy series or FanRo that I've been reading. I don't event know how to really describe it but dystopian fantasy, with magic systems and these creatures that are closest to a Vampire....curious if you've looked into. Samantha Shannon's writing is very interesting. With the way that fantasy romance has been trending I'm leaning towards more traditional fantasy on deck for 2024. I also have Mistborn series and Way of the Kings in my stack for 2024 :). 💙 PS I am reading King of Pride at the moment and really enjoying it. :) TY for the rec! Happy New Year Crystal
