So happy with all of this new baby news!! As a nurse, I think this is extra wonderful news for Granny, I have seen it in the elderly many times- they feel a renewed sense of purpose and hope!! I love Granny's vim and vigor and feel like she is gonna be around for a long time and that is what I pray for her! I bet there are sparks flying off of the crochet hooks lol.❤

I had to pause and type this while its on my mind. I just have to say im learning so much about grace and kindness from Katie. What I've noticed, and what I love about Katie is that when someone says something, like when Matt said, "Im old." She made sure to say,"Or it's just a big task. " Her way of saying, "No, dad, it's not that you're old. That's not easy to do. " I just love that. What a kind soul, and what a way to go through life boosting others. She will be a fantastic mom. I just adore you all.

Your tree looks beautiful, I love how you cherish the decorations that your mother, daughters and others have made over the years, the spark plug especially tickled my fancy a great memory from your first Christmas as a married couple with your own tree. The news of two Grandchildren expected next year must be so exciting it will be like having the twins again lots of fun but without so much responsibility lucky Grandbabies to have you and Mat.

My grandpa would just put his tree in a closet decorated and all. My wife and I moved into his old house and when we opened the closet there sat the tree. The tree still had candy canes on it. 😂. Congrats on the grand babies, what a blessing.

👋🎄🎅🏻🥳What a fun tree trimming party. Was there in my heart. Such a beautiful family and your tree is beautiful. My dear mother in law always had the cedar tree, off their farm. She was a dear woman and mother and in law. Miss her dearly. She died in the mid eighties, but we always feel her presence. Still. Just as Miss Cindy is with you all. I’m so happy for Corie and Austin’s news. It’s wonderful that their baby and Katie’s baby will grow up together. My Great Grandson will be in March also. His name is Lucas. I’m so happy he’ll be here in 3 months and joins big brother’s Logan and Landon. Isn’t it wonderful, these feelings are so hard to explain. Y’all have a great week and stay as happy as you are. I didn't even know Miss Cindy, but there at the end I was about to cry because it looked like Matt was about to cry. BUT THEN- I saw the blooper! And I realized Matt was trying to keep from laughing. THEN, I did cry cause I laughed so hard I cried. Thanks for that wonderful video.

Well, this video was so special!!! Corie and Austins news is wonderful, if they treat that baby the way they treat sweet Olive it will be great! I am only a furbaby mom so I absolutely adore the way Olive is always around and included lol. Almost cried when you were speaking of Miss Cindy- I think Matt started to tear up, but don't tell him I said that, wouldn't want to ruin his manly reputation😂 Gonna be a Merry Christmas there!!

Today 3 of my younger grand daughters came over after church and they each made a gingerbread house. I made gingerbread man aprons for them to wear while they did it. Tipper and Matt you may want to do that or something else with those grand babies. My girls beg for us to do our gingerbread houses as soon as Thanksgiving is over. I treasure these times with the girls!

Ya'll's tree is beautiful! I moved from South Texas at the end of January to come care for my aunt here in the northeast. She has not put up a Christmas tree since 1969 after her daughter died of cancer. Eventually her daughter-in-law would pass from cancer and then her son. She had said she wanted to leave Texas and move "back home". I told her to wait a year and if she still wanted to move I'd do it for her. I decided it was high time I made a few changes around here and bought just a tiny little table top tree after seeing how expensive the bigger lighted trees are. She was like a little girl when she saw it lit up on a small table in her living room. it is the sweetest little tree and the way she just stares at it at times makes me so, so glad i did it. Looking at all of your special decorations brings back so many wonderful memories, thank you for sharing it with all of us.

Technology, like everything else in life, is a double-edged sword. It *can* be wonderful and in this case, with Katie's and Corie's babies able to see how their momma, dads and grandmas and grandpas celebrate Christmas before they're born is certainly wonderful. Even more so, is how they'll see how beloved they were from the moment they were known to the family (and internets friends). What a way to begin!

I met my husband at the AC Spark Plug factory in Flint MI. I worked there for eight years. I quit when I was pregnant with my first daughter. He worked for 35 years retired. We lost him in 2003. We had our second daughter in 1976 and now we all live in Az. I remember assembling and inspecting millions of spark plugs over the years I worked there.

I have the memory ornaments for my Daddy and my husband's Daddy. I love these ornaments you can slip a photo into these ornaments, for the loved ones who have passed away. The quote says, " God saw him getting tired, a cure not meant to be so He wrapped His arms around him, and whispered, "Come with me." They offer female ornaments, too. The other ornament says, "Forever in our hearts." Merry Christmas to y'all!" Glad for your sweet daughters having their sweet babies!🎄❤️

Welcome back to sarges story time. When I was a little kid grandpa always made eggnog for Christmas. Well I guess it was all done and he was letting it chill in a big bowl on the garage floor. The house was built on the side of a hill and the garage was part of the house. I was probably only about 6 years old. I forget what us kids were doing but I remember running around the back of grandpa’s 1955 clipper packard and stepping into the bowl of eggnog. Some how I was always in trouble

First of all, congratulations to the soon to be grandparents! Two babies!! What a happy Christmas for the entire family! I have our Christmas tree lit in the dark “barn room” where we watch TV & read. We call it the barn room because the walls came from an old WWII era wooden airplane hanger. The beams are ancient American Chestnut from a barn torn down and repurposed.Amazing axe cuts can be seen along the huge long hand hewn beams. My decorations, after 62 years of Christmases, are much like yours. Hand made, each with a special sentimental meaning & memory. I collected all the antique glass ornaments, heavy metal tinsel strands, & other lovelies from my grandmother’s home after she passed. I used a large wooden twig wreath & arranged them all around the circular wreath. Then when it looked just right, I used a glue gun to attach everything 🙏

I have so many ornaments from over the years that have such wonderful sentimental value as well.... I have three children that are in their 30s now and still have all their "baby's first christmas" ornaments that I hang every year... I smiled when I saw the one that you showed of Katie with her photo in the little Christmas tree because I have similar ones of my children too that they made in school...precious memories ❤😊

Tipper, years and years ago, orange juice used to come in the glass container that was Matt’s grandmother’s. We used to keep iced water in the frig in one. Love the pretty decorations. ♥️🙏🏼♥️
