Need a how-to for your braids!! I so admire anyone who can style a great Heidi/milkmaid kind of braid, bc I can somehow never successfully create them myself. When you know you're going to a by-the-kilo place (or any place without changing rooms), you can strategically layer (a tight-fitting, opaque camisole you can try tops over, close-fitting shorts you can still slip a dress or skirt over, etc.) so you can try things on in a corner, etc. (or wherever they have a mirror tucked away. OR you can prop up a mirror they have for sale) but I get how that's a much less enticing option in the summer/hot weather. Love how respectful your video was as well--no filming random strangers who didn't consent to being in the video (a pet peeve of mine with some 'come thrift with me' videos). My latest find in the genre is the channel The Recycled Life. Also, not new-to-me, and not sure if it's available on streaming services in the UK, but if you also like videos that focus on thrifted furniture and ESPECIALLY on transformations (loooove those personally), Flea Market Flip is awesome (two teams go to a flea market and buy [mostly] vintage furniture to transform to meet certain challenges--could be something as simple as 'something with storage' to transforming something to fit a certain design style--,then get the help of experts to transform them, then resell those pieces at a different market. Can be very inspiring design-wise.

I'm so happy to see you did the Thrift With Me video! I'm always picking up mugs at thrift stores so I related to your glass plight. I'm also glad I'm not the only one picking up sweaters/jumpers in June. It's like a little present to myself in the winter when I can finally wear it. Please do more of these, I loved seeing what you found 😊

I live in Edinburgh and so often I feel like some of the prices at the charity shops in the city are a bit inflated (the other day I saw something that I know came from Poundland priced at £3, lol). I'm definitely going to head out to Musselburgh to check out that kilo shop!

I love a good bit of thrifting! Those green-stemmed glasses are gorgeous - I love coloured glass. Not sure where in London you are but if you’re ever south-west, the Battersea Boot can be really good for a bargain.

Looks like a great thrifting trip! I did something similar with my sisters when they came to Seattle this month. I wish we had that kind of good books in our thrift shops, though! Usually it's just old manuals etc.

I live very near a Beyond Retro in London and I've found some lovely things in there - most recently a cord letterman jacket originally from a Canadian college and a mens shirt decorated with a geometric fish pattern. I've been meaning to go to the Oxfam bookshop in Muswell Hill soon - looks like heaven for second hand books!

Love a good second hand haul. :) I work at a charity shop and we've had a few sets of those glasses in over time - we sell them as hock glasses, but I've absolutely no idea what hock is. I'm quite partial to them myself, but I've never been able to think of a use for them.

The Tidal Zone is fantastic. You'll love it & it's in such great condition. The British Heart Foundation is great for books - I've bought some brand new hardbacks there v cheaply.
