yeah I live in Melbourne, this thrift store in particular is really popular in my area and gets the best donations for some reason and I think the owners/managers have realised they can overcharge, especially with cost of living being so expensive !

thrift store items are priced solely on the amount (in weight) of items they get, savers is stocked literally to the ceiling from donations and if items aren’t bought they’re shipped to landfill to pollute third world countries. The only reason why their prices have increased is due to extremely high cost of living, everything is expensive so they’ve increased prices to match how expensive everything else is at the moment. The only other reason is if they are running low on donations and have significantly less items than usual, which isn’t happening. Everything is just ridiculously expensive at the moment.
