If you weren't at least a teenager by 2004, there's no way to explain to you just how big this was. Before there was social media it went viral. I was 16 and man I'm so glad I saw this first come out. Chapelle's Show was THE most quoted thing in my high school, ever. The only thing that even came close was Napolean Dynamite movie quotes for over a whole year after the movie came out.

I once said, "I've been kicked out of nicer places than this" while walking out after being fired from my office job. My life had just changed significantly, and my first conscious thought was this moment from Chappelle's Show. And it made me feel very good to quote it at that time. Dave's comedy makes an impression.

I grew up in the projects of Queens before my mom finally got a better paying job + moved us out of there when I was 16 + my brother was 12. Let me tell you, aint NOTHING scarier than a *Crackhead* !!! Nope. We used to see a lot of Heroin addicts too, but they were older ( _like my moms age + even older_ ) and they were all chill; but *Coke + Crack addicts* oh man!!! They were like .... damn ZOMBIES on speed!!! Thank God my mom got us out of there when she did. #QueensBridgeNYC True story: I once seen this young "rich/upper middle class" white boy one summer night give up his 2 day old white BMW, car keys + bill of sale to one of the crack-dealers there for 10 vials of crack ( that was $100 bucks! ) ; he went up on one of the rooftops, smoked his 10 rocks within 10 minutes, came back down + was begging the same crack dealer for more. He got nothing & they beat him up cause he wouldnt go away. Yea, cocaine is a hell of a drug. 😐

@@kiwimontoya Heroin + Cocaine are two different type of *highs* ; both drugs produce different *effects* in human beings; and if you have ever been around Heroin & Cocaine *addicts* the differences in their overall *behavior & appearance* is quite visible. The end result of both drugs are *devastating* ( _to say the least_ ) ; however, Heroin will "take you out faster" over "crack/cocaine" speaking from my own experiences of having witnessed both types of *addiction* from people I've known ( _many of who are now dead_ ) I am in no way implying that *Heroin* is a better "drug of choice" compared to *crack/cocaine* --- I was simply implying that the overall *effects + behavior* of both drugs are "different" --- but the end result is no different : they both lead to the *destruction* of a persons life. Most people would never talk to someone who had encounters like Charlie has with Rick. But there’s an underlying respect and friendship they had that was bigger than the crazy situations celebrities often are involved in. RIP TO BOTH.

Trust me this is more common then you know at least were I’m from, it’s not that there’s a deep respect it’s actually when you have one guy in your group who you always end up fighting with and it’s not Until years later when you’re older you realise it was so petty and Hilarious and then the Respect comes because most of the people you knew back then are gone but he’s still kicking around, but trust me Charlie was probably at his wits end with Rick at the time.

It’s not that. As crazy as it sounds, Rick messed with Charlie because he liked him. He could be real around the guy and not get sued or have permanent hurt feelings. It’s like only you can mess with your brother.
