You know I love me some Doom! I also had to read the issue twice to fully grasp and understand it. To me the deeper story, describes that we’re all headed to towards death eventually (Galactus) but even though we’re facing this terrible truth, do we and/or should we just lay down and face the facts? Or should we try to live our best life and defy the reality of death even when the odds are stacked against us (pretty much Doom in this issue and at all times because he’s so arrogant and full of ego). The artwork makes this issue though. Absolutely incredible and not really a single “standard” panel to be seen.

To be honest, if you got all that from this one comic, then I can't knock it! Like I said, I'm torn over it because I could see he was trying to craft a parable via these characters, but it just left me cold because I didn't know or really care enough about them?

@@geekyolhog That's fair! Like I said, I had to at least read it twice (and I really took my time on the second go) because on my first read through I was like, "what did I just read?"
