Not sure if you read the dc vs vampires 12 issue series from a few years ago by the same creative team...well worth hunting down ..its available in two collected editions. Matthew Rosenberg also writes a brilliant post apocalyptic series for image comics called whats the furthest place from here...which i highly recommend

A lovely selection of books, i remember having some colour Den albums in the 80s great stuff and I'll definitely be investing in the new editions. I wish they'd rerelease the blueberry series from moebius...that would be an essential purchase....and you got my favourite Spiderman story....i wish all spidey titles could be that good

A good haul. The early to mid 80s was marvels peak period for high points in creativity... X-Men, ff, daredevil, Simonson on thor, new defenders...epic comics...so much good stuff back then.

I'm excited about a lot of these too! I liked NYX more than X-Force. Sorry. Even though it was just people walking and talking I could at least follow it. Something in X-Force was messy or missing something for me. I still don't know what was going on or who was who. I don't know who Cucoo is, but I know who she is in that book compared to anyone in X-Force, outside of Forge. ;) That said, I know I'll take X-force in the long run over NYX. This was just issue 1. I'm game for all of them for the time being. I'm going to try to do 3 for each of them, unless I get overwhelmed.

Just in case you didn’t know, the G.I Joe book isn’t part of the Energon universe. It is a continuation of the Larry Hama G.I. Joe books and its own separate thing.

Totally agree re: X force...i had very low expectations but was happy to be proven wrong, what fun start to a series. But omg marvel quit with the stupid ad placements.

Good video. I discovered Elric from the Michael Moorcock's Multiverse maxi series from DC Comics in 97. I read the Nomad of Time omnibus the year before so I was able to work out that Elric and Oswald Bastable were the same person from different parts of the multiverse.

Mr. Monster was a fantastic series indeed!

Never a fan of Elric, for no other reason than I was ignorant of the character. Based on this video, seems I need to hunt some of these issue out. And yes, I remember Mr. Monster. Followed him across multiple publishers. Still fondly recall Alan Moore's contribution to the character.
