Hoping that kingpin running for Mayor in the MCU can lead to this event. I love how this is a villain that can be so personal but also so broad. He can be a villain to spider man and daredevil and still threaten and power over all superhero. And he doesn’t even have super powers

He's got enough willpower to ignore the Purple Man completely and limited super strength, so if Steve is counted as a superhero, Kingpin definitely counts as having powers.

Kingpin saga if it set up right can save the MCU. Because they need a new saga after Thanos one which they havent been able create since then. They tried with this convuluted Kang/Loki/Strange/ Wanda multiverse or whatever they are trying to aim for. I dont think they even know what they're shooting for. But I truly see an opportunity with a Kingpin arc.

Agreed, especially the fact that they cheered for Hydra Cap when he was caught pretending to be Captain Krakoa and was discovered to be the one thatplanted that bomb at the university to blame the mutants, you know forgetting a few years back how he became a fascist dictator and toook over America making people Hail Hydra in class and stuff. They cheered because, for some reason they like the nazi clone of Captain America and hate mutants that much which at this point doesn't make I can understand hating Magneto, Apocalypse and other evil mutants but the whole mutant population and cheering for the fascist nazi clone? WTF?

Well, the MCU's definitely using this later. Matt's gonna be pissed when Fisk wins. In fact, I cant wait to see how they'll do it. The Netflix shows are in the MCU timeline now. So, Fisk's crimes have to be common knowledge in New York.

Late to the video..... but yes , Vol. 6 & Vol. 7 of Chip Zdarsky DD run was a perfectly weaved tell of dark, gritty and well thought out most definitely worth a read

I never followed Daredevil or Kingpin much in comics, but they have grown in me. This sounds like an awesome Kingpin series. Love the push now for them & more "street level heroes" in MCU.

“Should I be reading Daredevil?” Short answer: yes, obvs. Long answer: Chip Zdarsky just finished his run, and having followed it month-to-month, it’s a great story IMO. A big highlight for me was DEFINITELY Elektra taking up the mantle as The Woman Without Fear. Incredible artwork, and powerful story. There’s a new run of Daredevil that just started a few months ago, written by Saladin Ahmed & art by Aaron Kuder. Good so far, I’m enjoying it, though I’m really missing Marco Checchetto’s artwork too. That man has a GIFT.

You should read Daredevil! Marvel Knights is also a good read! None of them remember their identities..but I don't know if those issues run concurrently with Devil's Reign. I do have some of The Devil's Reign comics and the stories seem to be connected....

One of the most feared, dangerous and powerful crime lords in the Marvel Universe, usually depicted as New York City's crime overlord, the Kingpin was introduced as an adversary of Spider-Man, but later went on to be the archenemy of Daredevil, as well as a recurring foe of the Punisher,and his adoptive daughter Echo. Kingpin is a great adversary.

they're already setting this up in some kind of way for the mcu with kingpin running for mayor at the end of echo and then apparently the daredevil series continuing right into spiderman 4. even if they do a more grounded version with just spiderman and daredevil going against fisk and some controlled villains of the two were in for a banger

The only reason Kilgrave hasn't used his powers to Thanos a continent for funsies is that he's much too sadistic for that. If you convinced or manipulated this guy to wipe out a town he wouldn't just tell everyone to kill themselves, he'd probably have them climb the tallest building and hold on until they fell off or something. If people needs to die, he wants to see them suffer, he wants to feel in control of their deaths in a real and personal manner. And of course, he wouldn't just do that on his own because he's way too selfish to just wipe out a bunch of people for no reason, he'd set up shop in some mansion somewhere and then destroy the lives of everyone living nearby, one family at a time, over decades. He's got the manipulative powers of a god but he loves using them to fry ants with a magnifying glass, in this way he's a nice counterpoint to both Otto Octavius and Wilson Fisk. They spend the entire series accusing each other of thinking small and not seeing the whole picture, while Purple Man is nothing but a glorified plot device. He's thinking smaller than most.
